I am currently designing a new ship and i tried to build a rotating gatling weapon system for that ship. In the Gal Civ 3 editor you just selected the part, clicked on animation and then on the speed slider and it began to rotate. In the current 1.04 version in Gal CIv 4 nothing happens. You can move the slider, but there is no animation. All the ship parts in the editor seem to be affected. (I have started the editor over the current "test version")
After the last update had another look at parts that are missing/not working..ie..Registration reward parts that show in parts menu but can not be used ... Assault fighter parts this is a grouped item wings are out of proportion also the interceptor front parts out of proportion can this be looked at and maybe corrected. Also have not been able to upload designs has anyone else had this problem with ported design's from GC3.
(Version 1.04) I will try to upload ported desings later this week and will try out if it is working. I have discussed the "no rotation" animation problem in the discord bugs channel. It is a wierd problem. It seems to work sometimes on other pcs and sometimes not. At least for me the rotation animation of parts is not working at all, when i try to use the sliders.
I had problems uploading my own designs somtimes. Before 1.04 it worked without a problem.
Hi Nav have taken a look at the uploads again and also animation, have put together some new designs from parts menu in GC4 and uploaded them, so for some reason any ported ship designs will no longer upload to the workshop !!!! and as far as the animation goes this does not work for me either needs looking at..........
Yeah, the last ships i have ported were the 40k ships, but that was in 1.03. It seems you can not port Gal Civ 3 ships to Gal Civ 4 right now in 1.04 anymore. Good to know you have problems with the animations too. So i am not the only one.
By the way. If you want to use animations, you have to use the big buttons in the middle of the editor for the animations and not the small ones on the right side of the animation UI. It was very confusing for me, because they are not working.
