Alright, I made an account on this forum just to see if someone can help me figure this out...over the past couple days I've bought Windowblinds 11 and Start11 and fiddled around with them to make my Windows 11 XP themed, nothing crazy. I'm using the eXperience 11 theme, which I like a lot, but...well, my problem's there in the title. I've been able to edit it a bit just to add things like different start and shutdown buttons, but no matter what I try the name just won't show! I've tried looking at the old SkinStudio tutorial by Vampothika to see if that could show me the way, but it's just not happening. I know it's a small thing but the picture just feels naked without it!
That would be because the user name was hidden in the skin in SkinStudio. You would need SkinStudio 11 and open the skin and modify it to show the user name.
If I wasn't clear enough, I have SkinStudio and have been trying to do exactly that. Maybe there's some obvious option I'm missing but I can't seem to find it.
Hmmmmm, well soupbowl, guess I am getting too old here as I cannot remember how it is done, I just know it can be. I hope someone else can help you. Sorry.
I might be wrong, but I think that option is not available anymore in Windowblinds 11. Most of the skins are not designed for having the user name displayed.
I checked on Windows 7 with WB10 and I can not see that option too. My guess is that is not available since Windows 7, but, I most probably wrong.

Could be, I looked in SKS 10 and WB 10, no setting for that. Oh well....
Well that stinks. Thing is, if I remove the theme and just have the Start11 menu, the name is there. I guess getting it to work is just really, really low on the list of priorities. That's understandable enough I suppose, I doubt too many others care about it like I do lol.
Wish Windows wouldn't make this stuff so difficult. And modern tech in general. Still, at least I've been able to get mostly everything else to my liking.
You could open up the graphic you are using for the top of the start menu and put your name there. Just place it the way you want it in the graphics program you are using. I'd try that.
