Resolved a black flicker issue using explorer on insider builds of Windows when giving a window focus / losing focus.
Known issues
While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.
***Reserved***
This is no longer an available option and should be removed.
Good point. Perhaps go a step further and replace in with a comment such as "Current Chrome-based browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge unfortunately cannot be skinned." and perhaps have them excluded by default.

The issue with not being able to open File Explorer dialogs with Insider Builds has returned for me. I tried uninstalling and resinstalling 11.04 and I still have the issue. The only way to workaround is to apply the default theme. It's been working great for a few weeks but then stopped recently. Here is my update history if it helps:
I am able to temporarily workaround the File Explorer issue by removing KB5052090. For whatever reason, this update reintroduced the same behavior that 11.04 fixed in previous insider builds with File Explorer.
For obvious reasons we cannot offer official support for insider versions of Windows.
That said we have an internal update for this which will no doubt go out in beta in the next few weeks.
When is this issue gonna be resolved? I am not getting to use the software I have paid for.
We do not offer support for insider versions of Windows.
If you install a release version of Windows then WB 11.04 should work fine.
I downloaded and installed windowblinds 11.04 but after rebooting my version still shows 11.02. I need to install 11.04 because 11.02 messes up my file explorer and control panel. When I tried a skin other than original after the supposed installation of 11.04 file explorer does not work. I have win 11 24H2 build 26100.3323 with all recent updates installed.

Dear Sean,
Respectfully, I am not an Windows Insider. Here is what my WB version before installation of 11.04 WindowBlinds 11.02 (017 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS, here is my WB version after installation of 11.04 WindowBlinds 11.02 (017 x64 - Windows 11 Edition) - 64 bit OS. Your download link is obviously broken as I clicked on the under object desktop which said 11.04 and got 11.02 again twice! Please fix your download link or send me a link that will actually download Windows Blinds 11.04.
The link is not broken. I downloaded from the same location as you would:
It is likely your browser is caching an older version. Try opening an in-private \ incognito window and getting it from with in it.
Ok, thanks. Deleted WB and cleared cache. will redownload.
Hello! I am having the issues mentioned (unable to open File Explorer windows for example) but my WB 11 doesn't even show a menu in my Object Desktop. Here is a screenshot:
Will I need to uninstall Object Desktop and re-install? Any guidance would be most welcome. Thank you so much!

When I installed WB 11.04 I get this error message: Error On Post Install, Line 61: attempt to concatenate local 'basename_folder' (a nil value) Stack Traceback: [On Post Install] Line: 61 in main chunk
When I attempted to put on a skin (Diamond) my computer went black, and I have to use Restore to get my system up and running. Should I uninstall WB?
Stuart
I also have this message on the about screen: WindowBlinds is not installed correctly on this PC. If you did not reboot after installing WindowBlinds 11 for the first time, then please reboot and try this again.
I did reboot after I installed WB.
Hi, Sean:
I installed the WB update, restarted my machine, and it hasn't helped. I am still not able to click on and open any folders in Explorer. WB also still shows no buttons on Object Desktop. Thoughts?

Are you still on an insider build of Windows? We MAY have a fix for this but as noted in all our releases, we do not support Insider builds of Windows. If this does not resolve this, we encourage you to not utilize them:

I don't believe I'm on an insider build. I will check though and try again. I've stepped away from that computer for the day but will circle back once I verify and also check this link you've provided. Thank you!
