Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Star11 v2 a better product.

Thanks for the update. Hope that resolves the issues I posted in the other thread.
Just run the installer over the old one?
Thats fine, yes, just to be sure to reboot as that is all-important post-install.

It still takes 2-3 seconds for the taskbar to reposition from the bottom to the right side of the screen, but all icons immediately loaded and ready, so that's a BIG improvement to me.
After I rebooted I first logged in on my admin account, log out and log in my daily user account. Last version gave an empty taskbar and unresponsiveness when I switched users, but that has now also gone
I will later check to maybe reproduce the problem of rebooting and not immediately logging in but later, which also triggered the empty taskbar in the last version.
Unfortunately the empty taskbar and unresponsive system persists when not immediately logging in after a reboot.
The system tray icons and their respective programs took my firewall control 2 minutes to load, Sandboxie 3 minutes and my VPN 3,5 minutes
Update Jan. 3: Same happens when pc is powered up and not logging in immediately.
..... none of which happens if I sign out, leave the os on the lock/login screen and log back in an hour a so later.

This beta resolves the issue I saw about the hidden icon menu not displaying with a top-aligned, non-enhanced taskbar. Thanks for the fix!
However, the issue I saw in the Win+X menu where the mouse cursor doesn't track with selections, also with a top-aligned, non-enhanced taskbar, is still there.
Have you been able to check why I see no thumbnails at my vertical taskbar? Nothing resolved with the latest beta.
My Windows version is 23H2, 22631.4602.
Why something that it working for others but not you is not enough to work with. While you may have detailed it in another thread, please try to detail the steps to recreate your issue, screenshots \ video are always welcome.
It would also be prudent to export \ upload your S11 settings to a cloud drive service of your choice and post a shared link to it in a reply.

After I had posted the issue the first time, there was a 2nd user who confirmed the same problem. I am not a passionate supporter of vertical taskbar, I wanted to see if it can improve my workflow, but under the current condition it does not. I will give it a try with a backup laptop of mine and start progressively adding my settings. If I can reproduce it, I will send a detailed report, but currently I don't have much time.
Thanks again for the great work and happy new year.
Thank you for the effort and update.
Hi m-eel. I haven't been able to reproduce this, though there may be some differences. (For clarity: I tried your steps with both a vertical Left Aligned, and a vertical Right Aligned taskbar)
Please try the following to see if this helps:

Thanks Adam, I will try that a little later.

Hi Adam/Sean,
I did as instructed, but unfortunately.....
I uninstalled, did not keep settings, reinstalled, set my preferences (did not import old settings) and restarted. First I immediately logged in to see if Start11 had kept all settings, and then I restarted and logged in after 20 minutes.Like I said: unfortunately I then still get the empty taskbar and unresponsive system (nothing happens when right-clicking or ctr-alt-del). Start11 menu is still functioning and enabling me to sign out and in again, after which all is well.
Randomly no start menu icon on secondary monitors and Windows Explorer always trying to open the same instance and other problems
Hi. Windows 11 24H2 26100.2605, Start112.49.3 video Working with 3 monitors
The start menu icon shows in only 1 of my 2 secondary monitors and most of the times even in none, the option to hide it in secondary monitors is disabled and I already tried to enable it and then disable, it keeps occuring. I have the centered option selected, if I select the option to align to center this doesn't occur.
Windows Explorer always tries to open the same instance even if it's in other monitor and even if I shift click (as seen in video); I disconnected all my monitors and tried to shift click and the same happens, it won't open a new instance.
I was able to change the taskbar size but I had that option disabled, after enabling and disabling it, I'm not able to change it (that's the expected behavior) right now, hope this doesn't change on reboot.
I have the option to show my pinned icons in all task bars but they don't show up when booting Windows, I have to go and click in the task bar for them to appear in other monitors.
Thanks!
P.S.:
I just found out that if I open a Windows Explorer Windows, open another folder that isn't the starting one, then shift click works once, meaning: if the starting folder is open in any monitor, shift click won't work. Even then when it works, it weirdly always loads in the same monitor and the same position and size, it doesn't remember its last position, size and monitor.
Reporting 5 different problems with the beta (not only the one with the shift click problem, please don't delete)

I also still am not getting preview thumbnails when the taskbar is left-aligned.
Video showing this and also how the start button disappears for some reason
Quick question for you.
If you set the taskbar to the top or bottom do you get the correct thumbnails then?
Yes, when set to top or bottom aligned I get the expected thumbnails.
Is it possible to have systray icons in multiple columns if the (vertical) taskbar is wide enough? That's possible on Windows 10 and is quite useful. Also the clock's font is a little too small with the vertical toolbar (4K display with 150% scale). And it doesn't auto-update and says it's up to date when manually checking in the About menu, when it's not. Didn't realize there was a newer version until I went in my account and manually downloaded and installed it...
Hello,
Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Hi, quick question about the monitor layout above:Monitor 1 is the laptop own screen physically situated per the layout aboveMonitors 2 & 3 are a Samsung C49RG9x 49" monitor configured as 2 x 2560 x 1440 monitors (Samsung "PBP" - "Picture by Picture" mode).Monitor 2 is configured as the main display with Start112.49.3 configured as a vertical taskbar on this monitor only.
When accessing (right clicking) the taskbar tray icons (bottom left of monitor 2) is there a way to bias the tray icon dialog to appear in monitor 2 only?Currently they appear in monitor 1 where the borders of monitors 1 & 2 overlap.
I guess a workaround is to position monitor 1 to be below monitor 2 in display settings but then the mouse pointer tracking can get confusing...
