So - attempting to connect two computers both Win11 Pro using multiplicity.
The instructions all show a KVM tab - I have Seamless - Settings - Hotkeys - Audio and About.
I can add the secondary computer - but have no idea how I'm supposed to control or access it. Connection via 'ping' works AOK.
Not having the KVM tab - is one issue - but how is 'seamless mode' actually supposed to work - moving the mouse off screen - doesn't move it onto the secondary computer screen. Adding a hotkey 'move to computer on left' does nothing. The manual shows the use happily clicking 'connect' or KVM mode - but neither of these buttons appear.
So I'm guessing the connection isn't correct (or the firewall is hindering somehow) - unfortunately I haven;t found anything in the manual that seems to get round this issue..
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, which version Multiplicity did you purchase? I believe to have KVM you will need to purchase Multiplicity KVM or KVM Pro. Multiplicity KM will not have KVM mode available for it. Refer table below.
For Seamless please refer to this guide: https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1287815196/Multiplicity+Seamless+vs+KVM+confusion

Hi,
Thanks for the info - I hadn't noticed the different versions - partly because I have the Object Desktop (which I imagined gave access to the 'best' versions of the software) and partly because clicking on the About -> user guides in multiplicity takes the user to a manual that shows the KVM mode.
I have both computers displaying on the same monitor (picture-by-picture) and seamless doesn't seem to work - the mouse just 'stops' at the edge of the primary computer display. I try the trial version with the KVM mode - I use RealVNC to access a raspberry pi - and maybe should see if that does what I'm after too?
I installed the latest 'pro' trial. However, nothing seems to change - running 'multiplicity' gives the same as above. There doesn't seem to be a new version installed after running the install (and rebooting)
Maybe i'm just having a bad day - this forum offers 'edit post' - but that doesn't seem to work either Save changes is there - but trying to make changes doesn't work...
From what I know, ObjectDesktop only include Multiplicity KM version. You will need to purchase Multiplicity KVM or KVM Pro to use the KVM mode.

Try clearing your browser's cache/data...sometimes all you see is temporary memory stuff.
Having ordered a KVM switch. I played a bit more and got things to work.
The steps.
1) Uninstall multiplicity (on both machines) and re-install from latest download.
2) Change home network to Private rather than public
3) Enable MeshNet in the NordVPN software (on both machines)
4) Delete secondary from seamless and connect in KVM mode.
Hurrah - it works - I had two mouse trails with the secondary mouse pointer offset by some distance from the actual mouse pointer. Changing the resolution of the secondary display to 1080p seems to have fixed that too!
Thanks to basj and DrJBHL for the tips...
Awesome, glad to hear that.
