I have playing on version 2.7 and non of the warlords stuff is working. I have no war aims. planetary invasion choices are not available but the game says the DLC is active. I have had many issues since 2.7 came out. STARDOCK PLEASE FIX.
First have you started a new game since you acquiring Warlords?
This is what usually causes "non of the Warlords stuff is working".
The Warlords changes as well as patches will not work till a new game is started
I started a new game when 2.7 came out which is after watlords
As I said that is the usual cause.

I have the same problem with GC IV Supernova when I play the mission "The Opportunity" with the Drengin, one of the missions to achieve is to investigate the Planetary Invasion technology and I do not have the branch of technologies that appear in a free game with said race.
I bought the game on Steam two days ago and I played the first two missions and yes, I validated files because I had an error when loading the game that has now been fixed.
The missions and tutorial have special research trees. The sandbox game gets lots of updates and to prevent breaking the missions they uses their own research trees and files. Plus sometimes the research tree is condensed to limit what can be researched such as with the tutorial,

I'm sorry to disagree, it doesn't work as expected, there's a bug in that mission.
Either because the entire logistics research tree isn't visible, and if it shouldn't be shown in that mission then you shouldn't be given the mission to research a technology that you can't see, one of the two things is failing. I say this as a senior programmer that I am, something in the code is leaking.
I was able to complete the mission ignoring that research mission (I guess it doesn't add points for not completing it) but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth not being able to do it in addition to having wasted time looking for it in the tree, on the internet, until I found this post.
I see now. I replicated it. Your suppose to research Warships which is very early on. This unlocks the Siege ship in the tooltip and allows you to build more. You use that to invade the planet. Either way, I'll forward it to the developers.
