Hello, I posted this in the feedback thread and it recommended its own thread, so I'll start one.
I am not sure how long this bug has existed, but I am reporting it because the bug that has plagued me for a long time was caused by start11.
The defects occur in applications that own their own window frame, such as Android emulators (e.g. Bluestack5) and CHITUBOX, which is slicer software used in 3D printers.
When dragging windows with unique frames, the behavior becomes erratic, and the window may fly off the screen. Furthermore, since most applications with custom frames do not support repositioning through keyboard shortcuts, a forced shutdown of the application is required.
The issue occurs with the 'Give the taskbar rounded corners' option in the taskbar settings. I share the video for your review.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NTKlEaUgsR0N176iVmcHpKBmdiiKHQRa/view?usp=sharing
My current windows is 23H2 (22631.3447), but it has been occurring for some time and I have confirmed through isolation that it is not due to other apps.
Thank you.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. I tried to reproduce you issue on my VM Windows 11 system. But, look like, both applications don't want to work on my system. However, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.
Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Hi terkO5,
I've looked into this on Win10 and Win11 and haven't been able to reproduce. (Start11v2 and Chitubox V1.9.5 as in your video.) Toggling rounded taskbar setting effecting no change. Even enabled Japanese language pack and seems to behave normally. All failed to reproduce the issue with Start11v2.07. https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/2024-04-24_10-13-13amcguinness.mp4Some questions that might help pinpoint what's going on a little better:Is this happening with the latest version of Start11v2 (currently 2.07)?
Do you have any styles or settings beyond the default Start11 settings enabled?
Are you using multiple monitors?

Hello, I appreciate you taking the time to set up the environment and verify its operation. After posting on the forum, I had disabled that feature and was using it, but I just turned it on again and noticed that the same bug isn't occurring. I have restarted the system in the meantime. As a reference, I'll describe the method I used to pinpoint the cause of the issue: I turned off all services unrelated to the system, then gradually turned them back on, which led me to suspect that Start11 was the culprit. Then, by switching items, we discovered the items that were malfunctioning. It seems that the issue isn't occurring at the moment, so perhaps some cache files were triggering the bug, but I can't confirm that now, so please consider this case closed for the time being. If it happens again, I'll check for interference with other software and post again in the forum.Regarding your question, the issue occurred with version 2.07 of Start11, but I believe it had been occurring even before the update, if I'm not mistaken. In determining the cause of the problem, I backed up the settings and checked all items, but no other items were affected.I am using two monitors.Although it's not a fully satisfactory resolution, thank you for taking the time to assist.
Hello, the issue occurred again this morning, so I took some spare time to investigate the cause and would like to report my findings.Initially, when I started up with all startups disabled and non-Microsoft services disabled, the issue did not occur. However, when I enabled only the services for my favorite Stardock apps, Start11 and Groupy2, the issue occurred again.Even after resetting Start11's settings, the issue persisted, so I disabled Groupy2 as a trial, and the system stabilized. However, it appears that these two software packages are more prone to issues compared to others, rather than having inherent flaws. I have confirmed that the issue occasionally occurs even when all startups and services except for Start11 and Groupy2 are enabled. With a 12900KF CPU and 128GB of RAM on my PC, I suspect the issue is related to window hooks or specific to my PC's app interrupt handling, rather than a lack of specifications.I anticipate gaining more detailed insights once the issue can be accurately identified and reproduced. However, I regret that I am currently unable to offer further assistance. If I can confirm that the glitch is specific to certain behaviors of the apps, I will report it again.Thank you for dedicating your valuable time to this matter.
