I have a starnge folder named (Default) in the Start11 menu that doesn't exist in the Windows 11 all apps list.
If you right click an item on the All Apps list you should see "Show flat list without folders." Select this and see if that folder disappears.
CopyTrans Studio is indented under the (Default) folder as if it belongs to this folder. It could be a hiccup with the apps shortcut folder name.
Go to this folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" and see if there is a folder in here called (Default). If so, open it and see what the contents are. I'm betting there is a shortcut for CopyTrans Studio in this folder.
Try these suggestions and report back.
Yes. Exactly. How can I correct this? TU
Windows 11 native menu Shows CopyTrans Studio alone (not under a folder}
Okay, so pull the CopyTrans Studio Icon out of the folder and leave it loose in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs."
After you have moved it, delete the (Default) folder. That should do it.
This is where the Start menu gets the shortcuts to display in the All Apps apps list.
Perfect. Thanks so much. Terrific forum.
It's interesting that the folder created by this app was (Default). The only place I have ever seen this expression is in the Windows Registry for the name of the default string of a Key. When this app gets updated, it may revert the folder icon in the Start11 All Apps list, but now you know how to fix it.
