I love the functionality and GUI of ObjectDock v3.01 on Win11 but I can't work out how to display system tray icons in a new dock.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, that option no longer available in ObjectDock v3. Look like it more likely one of compatibility issue with Windows 10 and 11.

Not having the system tray available, makes OD useless as I would always have to bring up the taskbar. Is there a plan to solve this issue?
Thank you,
Gabriel
I can't answer you on that since I don't know. However, I have forwarded your question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

I too would like to know the answer to this.
Quoting from this thread: https://forums.stardock.com/526808/get;3925499:
"Unfortunately there is no chance of them coming back as it's no longer possible. We understand this limits the functionality of the app for people who wish to hide the taskbar. We recommend using media keys for adjusting system volume."

Well, as a potential buyer, that is not the answer I was expecting. I think a lot of people have many apps in the System Tray (Zoom, Teams, VPN, messengers...) not just volume settings. The whole point of having OD would be to replace the taskbar, not to add another launcher.
So, sorry but that's a no buy from me.
I just have the taskbar hidden. If I need one of those hit the windows key and your old taskbar pops up and you can get to them. Not a deal breaker.
First: if I select in Settings to hide the Taskbar, and I hit the windows key, only the start menu will pop up not the taskbar.
Second: the system tray is a variable thing, you start an app and that will reside in the system tray until you close it so it so I don't think you can create a dock that will cover that.
Also there are apps in the system tray that are also launchers, like Steam, where you don't need to open Steam to open a game.
So any workarounds might be welcome but what is the point on having a launcher on top of another launcher, which also consumes your resources for nothing.
That don't make sense, your start menu should not pop up without the task bar.
Unless you have hide the taskbar checked in object dock. Instead just use the hide taskbar feature in windows instead.
When I hit windows key the taskbar and the start menu pop up doing it that way.
Indeed that option is checked, and as I mentioned before, the point would be to replace the launcher not to have more launcher to clutter my screen.
Shit, I didn't see that before buying the upgrade. That's really funny, having paid for an upgrade to see functionality gone. And yes, there is still at least one launcher that still shows the system tray, namely MyDockFinder, and it does it well. Feel just slightly underwhelmed with OD3 right from the beginning.
