Hello! So far this game is amazing in most ways, a great upgrade to sins 1.
However playing around several games with both factions it seems the phase missiles almost never get shot down, especially compared to the TEC missiles.
For example, one or two flack frigates can take out all of the Marza Dreadnought's missles, but only get one or two of the Vulkoras Desolator's.
Is this intended as they are phase missiles or possibly overlooked?

There are actually a few things going into that scenario that may affect the performance of point defense systems. Namely, Vasari missiles can have more hull points and some armor points, so they're more likely survive a single round of pd. Secondarily, with the recent combat update, missiles have had changes to their acceleration so that they're easier to shoot down right out of the launch tube, but once they pick up some speed on route to the target, they become much harder to hit (missile speed versus tracking speed of pd turrets).You can read more about that update here:The Art of War Update - Sins of a Solar Empire II » Forum Post by redskittlesonly (sinsofasolarempire2.com)
Makes sense, though especially with the number of assailants the AI makes, the missile spam doesn't seem counter-able when it hits a certain point. - Made a group of TEC flak ships (about half the number of the enemy assailants) and they got wiped VERY quickly.
Regardless, loving the new features! Great work thus far!
