Just wondering - when I open the Documents flyout in the Windows 7 mode, none of the subfolders can be opened as flyouts, but when I open the <MyName> flyout they can. Why is that?
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall done. Re-download latest version again from your account page. Install it, reboot again once installation finished. Test it and report back.
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
ok - I did that (now the third time):Will let you know when something happens? Thanks a lot for your Support!!
May I suggest a pinned thread for Start11 V2 user screenshots? Perhaps with the understanding Stardock can use the images for promotion. I think it would be great to see how others have setup Start11 V2 and give us some ideas.
Sorry to hijack this thread.
Hello Mike,That is an awesome idea. Hope someone can start a thread, just to show how great their Start menu look like. Can share some tips and tricks among the community how they setup theirs too.
Most of the bugs I had mentioned have been fixed by now. Great work guys. Just a small one here remaining:
Right-click on the start button on secondary taskbars (right-click on the start menu is set up to open the win+x menu) opens the Start11 menu and then ends up opening the win+x menu at the primary taskbar. Small detail but can be a bit disorienting sometimes.
I'm using Windows App Style. Windows 11 Pro. Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3085)
Here's some feedback to be passed along. There's some images to help illustrate some of the things I mentioned.
I've got a couple of questions about the Shortcut List. When it's oriented the way it is in the Windows App Style, when you hover over the icons, it shows where the folder or app lives on your computer rather than its name. Is there a way to get Start11 to use the name of the file or folder? Also, there's a good bit of space that just sits empty where the Shortcut List icons are. If you start adding too many, they just don't get displayed rather than fill up the space. Is there a way to make use of the space that is not currently available?
Is there a way we can get an option to have the "More" button always in an expanded state? Instead of having to click More each time?
When you've got tabs and their names are too long and get cut off, you don't get a tooltip to tell you the full name when you hover over them. It's weird because apps within the tab do show their full names in a tooltip. It would make sense to have this for everything, so you're not left guessing.
If you right-click on a folder in a tab to open it as a menu, there's no way to tell you've done that just by looking. Some kind of sign or icon to show which mode it's in would be a big help.
A bug - when I open my start menu, it opens on the last page now instead of the first one. I believe this began with v2.05

Hi After being happy with start11 V1 I upgraded to Vs and now my clock and notification have dropped so low that I cant see or use them I have tried all settings moving back to V1 and uninstalling all and reinstalling. Thanks in advance
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. You on touch system? Please try this setting. Change from Automatic to Force touch mode.
Hi! Can you fix "Accent Color" feature for Windows 10 Start Menu style?
By default (or if you press Reset button) it's works fine only on default color, but if you change the color of an application plate it's so subtle, barely visible (for some colors it's working fine).
So we got an "Accent Color" feature so I can choose the color I want, but when I choose white the color of icons font change itself on black on hover - can we please stay on white font and only change the borderline accent color? And control icons on the right is bugged because all hover block became white not only borderline and so you cannot see the icon anymore on mouseover.

Taskbar not shown in full size after update to Start11 V2
On a Surface pro 7 (Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (22631.3085) the taskbar is not shown in full size after reboot. In V1 this was never a problem.
Restarting explorer fixes the problem temporarily, but after a reboot same behavior again.
If you open up Start11 settings, go to taskbar, scroll to the bottom and change the option from Automatic to Force touch you should be ok.
We are adjusting the automatic detection of this for the next update as there seem to be some machines which do not detect right.
Thanks for the bug report. We have adjusted this for the next update to correctly swap those icon colours and not touch the text on the Win10 style.
"Force touch" fixes the isssue of Taskbar not be complete visible. Thank you.
Yes that worked thanks a lot
I think this issue only appeared in 2.05:I use the hold down Start key feature to open multiple shortcuts a lot (since I got informed about it's existence by Neil here.)
The problem I've just recently encountered is that after clicking each shortcut the Start Menu & contents flicker.Uploaded example video here: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AkrcAelxjFCihYtFVr8-g6Jjia6YHQ
Windows 11 23H2 OS Build 22631.3085
Otherwise, loving all the new features of v2!!

I just try the shift key, and yes, I can confirm it no longer work. But, I tried press and hold "Win" key instead. And, it seem to work. Have you try it?
Thank you,
Basj,Stardock Community Assistant
Hi Basj
Sorry, you've misunderstood me. Shift never worked (although I wish it would! Way more intuitive than the Windows key.)
The problem I'm reporting is that when you open multiple shortcuts while holding the 'Win' key the menu flickers after you click each shortcut. I captured the flickering in the video linked in my post above.
I don't think the flickering occurred prior to V2.05.
All,

As always, thanks for your time, feedback, and support.
Hello,
since upgrading from Start11 V1.xx to V2.05, the Stardock Start11 menu (Windows-11 stile) only opens by pressing the Windows icon key on the keyboard. By pressing the Windows start icon on the Windows desktop with the computer mouse, the standard Windows 11 menu will open. The Windows build is 22631.3085
Thank you for help,
Martin
