I was previously utilizing a similar well known start menu application (StartAllBack), one setting that it included was to adjust the spacing between the windows 11 taskbar icons which I extremely liked. So far with start11 v2 I haven't seen that particular setting available which I'm really disappointed about, had I known that before I purchased my license for start11 v2 I probably wouldn't have made my purchase, did I just by chance miss the setting I'm looking for ?
I installed start11 v2 on windows 10. The start button has disappeared. What am I not doing correctly
Not trying to be rude to you, but you probably should have submitted a completely new question instead of posting your question in with my question, have you already thoroughly looked in all of the settings area, especially here:
Sorry.
Are you looking to increase or reduce the spacing?
You didn't even need to say that you were sorry but I surely do appreciated you being polite, I was actually really thinking that by creating a separate post you would probably receive more replies because more people would actually see your question. Good luck with getting your current issue resolved.
I'd like to increase the spacing between the icons if possible. Thank You
Thanks, Davy49
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, why did you post multiple threads asking the same question?
Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Being honest I didn't realize there were two different but yet the same forums basically sponsored by the same group of people, the only difference is the name of the said forums. If it's upsetting someone a moderator can just simply delete one of the posts.
It is possible to adjust things a little using a registry key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8
Create a String value called TaskbarPadding and give it a number in pixels and it will increase the padding between the taskbar buttons. You will need to sign out afterwards to see the change.
Hi,
You will never actually know how much this information really means to me, it quite frankly made my day a lot better!! Thanks so much
David
Neil,
Thanks so much for your informative reply, I followed your instructions and now I'm pleased to report that I've got the taskbar icon spacing that I was trying to achieve. I'm being going into the windows registry for various reasons for quite a long time due to the fact that I'm old and have been using various editions of the windows operating system. In the back of my mind I knew there must be a method to achieve what I wanted with my windows 11 taskbar icons.
