i have literally spent 20 minutes now trying to find out how to change homexworlds. Nothing fucking posted online works. My fucking capital got conquered in like a single turn and then when I got it back another fucking planet was named capital, like how the fuck?? How do i change it?? Fucking takes 20 minutes just to make a fucking account on this stupid fucking forum when no fucking other website has ANYTHING AT ALL HELPFUL TO INCLUDE
Here's a trick...when requesting help from Support try a little harder to be polite.
I'm not aware of any means to do so. Its probably a feature that has fallen through the cracks.
Also, please be polite. Its nice. I don't think being rude will help in anyway.
On Steam he would have an 8 day time out one for each use of the F word so might be a good thing unlike on Steam I am not a Mod here.
I worked on trying to change my Capital City/Civ Capital for about 15 minutes and couldn't do it, so I'd have to agree with DivineWrath that this is probably not supported at this time.

Alternately, please explain how the game decides which planet to make your Capital once your original Capital is captured?
If it's a method that the player can influence in someway by assigning, say, a certain Leader or building a certain building, that allows the player to influence the Next Capital list...
Unfortunately I haven't had my homeworld taken in any of my games yet but I just loaded up a save and played some whack-a-mole with an AI's civ capital out of curiosity.
It appears to be totally random. It will even select low planet class colonies that can't become a Core World. I also allowed them to retake their homeworld and after taking the then current capital it didn't return to the homeworld. I retook it and verified it still had the Capital City building. Seems well outside the realm of player influence.
This was the "cleanest" partial solution of the testing I did earlier. There is technically one method I tried that includes all races but was much buggier as it only allowed any given planet to be named Civ Capital once. I'm not sure if I'll be pursuing this any further.
I also agree with DivineWrath and that this would require Dev attention.
