Hello,
I'm running the current version of Windowblinds 11. Running Windows 11, version 22631.2191. Whenever I apply a skin it never looks right. I attached a picture to show what I'm talking about. I have no idea why I can't get the skins to display correctly. This is a pic of Aero11. This problem has been ongoing since Windowblinds 11 was released
If you want that ugly Windows 11 explorer to look like Windows should (7/10), try installing Windhawk with these settings:
Then install Old New Explorer with these settings:
They are both free software and work for me!
Windhawk
OldNewExplorer Download (2023 Latest) (filehorse.com)
Then reboot....
Thank you for your reply. I actually use OldNewExplorer, but those programs don't resolve the glitches I'm having with windowblinds. Things still don't look right
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Which area are looking at. Screenshot with arrows pointing to the issues your referring would help.

I included a pic with arrows showing what's wrong. I also included a pic of the Aero11 skin, that shows what it's supposed to look like. It's not just with this skin, but several others as well. They don't look the way they're supposed to, according to the pics
Look like something is not working in your system. This is how it look like on my Win11 system.
It might be because you're on Windows 11 Insider preview edition. Which is not officially supported. I however will forward your problem to Stardock Support Team for their review. We appreciate your feedback.
Thank you,

No one has more information than LightStar on what tools are available for altering the look and feel of Windows native UI. However, with them in play, supporting any suspected issues with WB is impossible. This is further compounded when on an insider branch of Windows.

I'm not running any 3rd party apps. I've used OldNewExplorer, but I wasn't running it when ran Windowblinds. I figured 3rd party apps might effect Windowblinds so I made sure I didn't have any installed
Question for you,
What are you using to get this transparency? I could be wrong but that seems a bit more transparent than usual?

Understood but you are on an Insider build of Windows, yes?
sdRohan: I don't think so. I used to be subscribed to the insider preview program, but I cancelled it. I checked system updates and it shows that I have to subscribe to the insider preview program to get those updates. So I shouldn't be getting them
TPScroggins: I'm not using anything. If you're looking for a program to get more translucent title bar, you can try Mica For Everyone. But I didn't have it installed when I took that picture
Running Windows 11, version 22631.2191.
That's an Insider build.
I'm not disputing it. It's just weird that it doesn't show that I can get insider builds in the system updates. Also, this problem has been going on pretty much forever. Since Windowblinds 11 was released. I finally just got to the point where I decided I needed to report it after everything I tried has failed
EDIT: Nevermind. Apparently I am still getting the preview updates. I checked the other day and it indicated that if I wanted to get the updates I needed to enroll and the different type of updates I could choose to get were all greyed out. Well I thought I'd better double check just now, and now it's showing I am enrolled. I honestly don't know why that changed. I submitted to have it disenrolled again
UPDATE: Ok, I got it fixed. It was all my fault. I had Do Not Use Per Pixel Frames enabled. I didn't even realize what it did. I disabled it and now everything looks as it's supposed to. Thank you all for your help!
Moderator: Edited the title to reflect the problem being solved.
Quick Update: Here is a pic of my desktop using Windowblinds with the BetterAeroVistaX theme now that I got everything working correctly. Also running a few other programs to make it look more like Vista. I really love Windowblinds!
