If 6 player map, a player starts at 12 hours, the other start consistently not at 6 o clock.but 2 o clock. Thus much of the map is difficult to use especially at max difficulty.

Are added build slots like 70 military and civilian at one planet at higher difficulty a bug, or feature ?
...
when removing planetary slots that you bought from minor factions, you get no partial refunds like with military +4 lab.
Thank you for the report, you mentioned the spacing issue being consistent, may I ask how often this occurs? As in how many times have you tried and experienced this?
I think it still happens, you start on a 5 player map, a 1v1 game, from me trying the new version, I didnt see them being exactly on the other side.
As an example, start a 4 player map, Shuriken with just 1 opposing AI. I can guarantee to you that it will never start on the opposing side of the map.
Try starting the game, say 5 times, 10 times. Theyre never, not once on opposing side, always the closest spawn.
It worked ok for 1 game on the Test Edition when the Vasari update was pushed through. I played on that as Vasri which resulted in all 3 TEC enemies starting on the opposite side of the map. On the updated regular version, they always spawn within a few jumps of you.
I guess I wasnt clear enough: play a 1v1 in a size 4+ map. For a fixed map, chose Shuriken without planet rotation, so that there is no guessing where who started. Not 3 players. 1.
Yes... I said the exact same thing no matter what type of game you play or how many enemies, it is choosing the closest spawn points to you first.
I misread your post apparently
I was able to reproduce this issue and I've forwarded it up to the developers.
I agree-- I play with my buddy multiplayer as a team and 5 AI players as individual teams. My buddy and I ALWAYS start next to each other. I would much prefer a randomized start location.
