Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please include full Windows version number please. Use Winver. For example: "Windows 10 22H2 (OS Build 19045.XXXX)". Also, check and make sure this: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#FencesStartUP. Check that, reboot, retest and report back.

Exact same issue as before, with configuration not opening in Windows 11. It opens in Windows 10 fine.

Interestingly, Fences configuration DOES load when I click on Stardock/Fences in the Start11 (Windows 10 style) menu. In fact, it loads rather zippily.
It just doesn't load in the contextual sense I was accustomed to (Right-click on Desktop/View/Configure Fences). I sincerely apologize if I didn't make this clear before.

I have the same problem after the new Fences update, no matter what I do I can't call the configuration dialog. I'm on Windows 11 22H2 22621.1344.
Can you test the other methods as well? If you are trying via right-click on the desktop can you also try from the desktop icon (if there is one) and from the Start Menu?
As I've never received a PM here before yours, my eyes didn't catch it. I will see what I can do to assist.
Thanks for the reply, I did that now but sadly no method of opening Fences has any effect on my system. In fact there isn't even a fences.exe in my Task Manager anymore even though Fences itself still works.
Same problem here, first configuration starts, but not localized and crashing if clicking top option ("home") After setting it from german to english in about section it didn't start again. Troubleshooting log said:

Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

When I plan to uninstall and reinstall the software, how do I back up the settings of the software?
Same question, without backing up settings i won't uninstall it, doing a new setup may be somewhat annoying thing....
Or would settings stay even if uninstalled?
