Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.
Great news.
Brad's remedy worked for me too, I downloaded the new win update earlier today and the system tray disappeared. I thought maybe it was a conflict with WindowBlinds 11 so turned that off and the system tray reappeared. I downloaded the earlier remedy which had no effect when using WBlinds. After downloading Brad's update and using WindowBlinds again everything is tickety-boo, so thanks for the quick fix, Brad. I am using Win 11 pro-22H2 Build 22621.1344 and all seems well 🙂.
Thank you very much, this solves my problem!
For Windows 11 users who have downloaded the optional KB5022913 and are seeing issues with their taskbars we have an early build that we believe resolves your issues.
Download Start11 1.4 279
As with all pre-release builds like this, this is an out-of-band update that may (although unlikely) require you to manually update future releases and we only recommend installing this build if you are currently seeing issues with your instance of Start11. There are no new features in this release as it's a compatibility update.
Thank you! This solved my issue on Windows 11 22H2 Insider Preview build 22621.1344
I use small taskbar, after KB5022913 updating the size of taskbar change to medium and became unchangeable.
Start11 1.4 279 build don`t resolve this problem
You need to enable the enhance taskbar option in Start11 for this to work. You can still have grouped taskbar icons.
hello, it is normal that sometimes in the search for start11 the error message "interface not supported" appears and why does it appear? it doesn't always happen, but only when it doesn't find something, but is this normal? because other times the search open explorer, without finding anything
Hi all,
I've downloaded Start11_1.4-j279-Setup for use with KB5022913.
So far the only issue I have is with the Taskbar 'Auto-Hide' option. When this option is active the secondary pop-up systray is mainly hidden behind the Taskbar. When the Taskbar pops up, the secondary Systray doesn't move up with the Taskbar.
When 'Auto-Hide' is off, the secondary SysTray works appropriately.
Cheers.
Using start11 1.4 v279 on Win 11 kb5022913
Large Taskbar option results in icons being cutoff on the bottom, see image below
I installed the KB5022913 on 1.39.1. There were no system tray icons or clock visible. Also there was a light line across the top of the taskbar, and where the search icon is (even when removed!).
Went back via a disk image to before KB5022913 was installed.
I then installed the beta 1.4 279 and then installed KB5022913. The problems I had (described above) returned, so it seems to me that the 1.4 beta does not solve the problems with this Windows 11 update.
I have now returned via a disk image to before KB5022913 and using 1.39.1.
This update 11 1.4 279 worked on my two laptops, thank you, you are very fast.

Small taskbar works fine in 1.4 beta after install KB5022913, cosmetic bug is start button icon doesn't shrink with small taskbar
Sean,
This update fixed the secondary systray behaviour I mentioned above.👍
I{ just updated windows, and the icons on the taskbar are cut off at the bottom. Using the Brad version.
Are you using a tablet and have taskbar in large taskbar mode?
I am not using a tablet. 4K Monitor (125% Scale), so it's in large taskbar mode.
I just tried to put it to Medium, and it's good again.
Then back to Large, and cut off icons.
Did you update with this afternoons release? https://forums.stardock.com/517175/get;3880266

Installed the latest ver 1.4.0.2 and with the enhanced taskbar turned on the start menu is slow to open for several seconds and the new search feature on the taskbar is delayed also. When I turn off the enhanced taskbar the above features work as they should. Win 11 pro 22H2 Build 22621.1344 I am also running WBlinds 11.
Updated to Start 11 v1.4.0.2 and testing with Win 11 KB5022913. At 4k resolution with no DPI scaling. What's happening is that when "Automatically hide the taskbar" is enabled in Win11 settings and Start11 Taskbar Size is set to Large the reason that the taskbar has icons cutoff is that it HAS A SCROLLBAR! I couldn't believe but a little scrollbar appeared by the right side of the taskbar and you could temporarily center the icons again with it. Video of this behavior here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAVDPjORYc4
I did!
peretore's post above is correct, though. There's a GD scrollbar.
Autohide taskbars only support medium sized icons in that preview version of Windows. You will need to set it to medium in Start11.
We will fix the next update to prevent this combination being set to avoid this issue.
Thank you Stardock for the new beta, it fixed beautifully my taskbar disaster after updating Windows.
One small bug remains, tho. My laptop is running Start 11. For what it's worth, it has a high DPI screen so I run scaling at 250%. It's also a Yoga laptop, so it has tablet functionality (I know the new Windows update made changes to that functionality, it might be relevant). When I remote desktop from my desktop computer (running 100% scaling) to my laptop, part of the taskbar is messed up. Specifically, the left side (start menu) and right side (system tray icons) are positioned too low and practically completely out of view. Lemme know if you need more details.
