I've got to say, I'm very disappointed to see the sectors still appear to link via single hexes. That's really lame.
In my opinion, the links should spread out to an area of hexes on the edge of a sector. Far more interesting defending that than a single hex.

Please no. The limited access to sectors is the main idea that makes GCIV better than III.
With the nerfing of sensor range and speed this would make defense useless as there is no way to slow an attacker.

LImited access sure. But 1 hex seems too restrictiive imo. If only to avoid traffic jams.
Rather defend Thermopylae than the Great Plains.
I see your point, but I hate large fleets especially having to move or wait for each AI to move forty or fifty fleets a turn. Worse as the game if the AI does not "learn" to build fleets properly.

I have to agree, the single hex is easy to blockade with just a few ships

Also it would be even cooler if I could pin a small window like that on the map screen I could minimize or remove if desired. Also allow a small movable window for my advisors. I want to keep them open on my map screen without having to close them to see my fleets.
In other words I want the ability to clutter my screen with usable information in small boxes I want to always see without clicking somewhere distracting from my immersion to see it.

Is this an update to GalCiv 4 or a DLC or a completely different game? It feel almost intentionally ambiguous.

is it tho? is it DLC? sounds like, and literally cited as in the months since, a replacement of the unquestionably incomplete gc4 that i swear we already bought and are being asked to buy again. lol. Sigh, you shady devils are lucky we know how rare and precious 4x like galciv is. I mean it's fairly obvious 4x is an EOL genre, i'm just happy one of the pioneer companies is still doing it, though I'd recommend being real careful with the AI, there's a lot of fire and sparks up in the air right now and people are speculating wild and lured by the promise of free labour to grant infinite value-adds to their products, but you guys don't lack for creativity with flavour texts, it'd be remiss of you to outsource that when it's one of the things you do so well internally.
