I have a background on the desktop using DeskScape 11 and it works fine, but when I tried to use Windows Blinds 11, it blurred the background. If I choose a background from Windows Blinds it works fine. Are the two apps incompatible, or am I missing something in the setup?

The background picture works fine if I select one from WindowsBlinds. The problem occurs when I already have a background in place using Deskscapes.
The Deskscapes background is animated.
Selected Modern > Apply Style to Desktop
I haven't found a way to undo this without uninstalling the app.
Again, I don't see your problem on my system. Below is screenshot of Windowblinds with Deskscape applied.

I don't see a way to download DeskScapes from the website; there's no free version and the only other way appears to be purchase it, so I will reinstall it from Object Desktop again.
I have the new version of Object Desktop so that may make a difference.
As an Object Desktop subscriber, you should be able to. If you go to your Stardock downloads page:
Then you should see this, and click on "View individual downloads"
You then get a list of links to all the apps included in your subscription:
The list will have variations depending on when you subscribed and how long you have been subscribing.

I reinstalled Oject Desktop. I installed all apps from website downloads, not Object Desktop. Object Desktop does not recognize apps installed this way. Is there a fix for this?
I'm not sure what's on the devs ToDo list with ODM, but thy are aware of an issue with ODM prompting for available updates while there are none, so that will hopefully soon be fixed.
