Now that we've announced WindowBlinds 11... I am curious as to what skin is YOUR favorite? Extra points if you post a screenshot in the comments!
Here is my all time favorite:
eXperience - I just wish the developer would update it for WB11, and fixes the start graphic so it scales to the bottom of the Win11 Start bar height/thickness
As we have very skilled Master Skinners creating things for us all my favourites used to be Stealth Drone, used if for years, but i have purchased many and for a while the latest ones become favourites, then i got into Commissioning WBs and those Favourites changed again.
Tron Legacy
and
Alienware Eclipse.
As they have been screenshotted in other topics, i think no one would like if i posted them again, so no extra points for me.
That's a tricky one and to mention only one would for me be impossible. Some skins were absolute favourites at the time of release and stayed longer than others on my desktop like 3FX by daniloOc, GT3 by Tiggz, Penthouse & Metropolis by vStyler, Vista Plus by adni18, Xotic by Lightstar, Armor Tech by don5318.In recent years, there are two that really impressed me by design and must be considered favs, and they are both made by neone6: Apex Black & Elysian - both in the screenies below.
Can't give a screenie of mine since they haven't been updated...but MikeB314's Avenger, and Subsecret and vStyler's Naked Noir and Prowler rank ultra high on the list along with danillOC's NeOS (also not recently updated).
Love the Start Menu on the first one JanOscar, i must have missed that one, love the base as its brilliant.
StealthOS all time.
For the moment:
Only skin that gets darkmode right on WB11.
WB11 is not fully out yet. Its still in beta. Plus there are some new limitations i have to work out for w11. The start button does in fact fit the taskbar fine with small icons enabled. It also does not support higher dpi settings in display options greater than 100%. Any higher and it will cause the button to not fit right. From what i was told by a dev, next version of windows 11 will only support 48×48 start button graphics. So the xp Era style of start button will be axed on 11 version update when I get around to upgrading the theme. It will be similar to how it was done with the Luna style included with wb11 but a but more xp like. I already modified the taskbar to now include the clock section on secondary taskbar and skinned start11 Win 10/11 styles. Last thing I need to do is add tab frame support and of course remake the xp button to be squared off.
I noticed that start button problem...using the medium sized task bar. Had hoped it might get some love but noe that looks like it won't happen. Damn.
Yeah the theme was designed to be an almost near replica of the original style with some modern edits to it. So I never got around to actually making larger icon support start button. There are just to many substyles to work with If I added in larger start buttons. lol
With the new dark mode options, I have to rethink some of the graphics to support such a mode now. So when I start working on those styles, I will build the new start button then for those sizes. This is what I plan on going with when I crop the button. Obviously it will look cleaner than that when I actually do it. This is just a quick wip I did with a photo online to show what the new button could look like.
My favorite style from back in the day was dragon. All the cool animations the theme had were amazing at the time. Most of it is broken now. Animations no longer work.

The news in the prior comment about the start button is most welcome, although I really loved the other shape.
Yeah Ideally I would like to keep the text in the button but as a dev said in beta thread 2 for WB11, the next version of windows 11 in the insider preview has changes to how the start button works. It will be limited to 48x48, so the xp style button will no longer work, It will be cut off. Sad that it has come to this. I would like if stardock started looking into updating Objectbar (not to be confused with objectdock). An old program that they have not touched since windows xp that allowed for custom toolbars and in some cases replaced the default taskbar. That program could totally work as a taskbar alternative to fix some of the shortcomings that windows 11 is introducing. Its one of many programs in the backlog that I would like to see a comeback.
An excellent suggestion, imo. Perhaps add it to one of the suggestion posts or make a new one. An alternative that already exists is Nexus Dock (free and paid)
The docks (also those in Winstep Xtreme and NextStart) as well as the taskbar, are eminently skinnable and run without conflict with Windowblinds. My manners to redskittles, I don't want to be perceived as hijacking her thread.
