if anyone read that I was wrong
This bug is bugging the hell out of me it's like some timing mechanism because it happens ever 15 minutes like the system is coming out of idle.
Win10 version 21H2 build 19044.2130
I have noticed that sometimes a rightclick on roughly the bottom half (with some variation) of the titlebar is ignored. It's only the rightclick, leftclick is not affected. It's only when the window is not maximized. It only happens with specific skins and only with specific programs, it is consistant in that regard. I do not know if this is new with WB11.
I'll mention that I also have WinFX running, but turning it off doesn't seem to affect this.
To reproduce:
Set the WBConfig Setting "Action to take when right clicking on a title bar:" to "Show System Menu" or "Use Style Setting", the other options there seem to work fine.
Load one of these shipped skins:Acrylic 7, Corporate, Eva, Ice, The Caption, Win8, Win8 Metro. I don't see the behavior with the other shipped skins. I do see it on a few other skins I have installed.
Start up one or more of these programs:Task Manager, Notepad, Notepad++, DreamMaker Pro, SkinStudio. (Some programs I specifically do not see the behavior with: Windows File Explorer, WBConfig, SpaceMonger, WinFX Configuration, Chrome, Edge.)
When the window is in a normal non-maximized state, either active or inactive, rightclick on the lower half or so of the titlebar, nothing happens. Rightclick on the upper half or so and the System Menu appears.
I have noticed that the SKS "OS Caption Height" setting affects the behavior, but it doesn't seem like that would really be a solution. For example, changing that setting on Corporate from 26 to about 40 corrects it. That seems high though and would probably cause issues elsewhere.
Thanks, hope this makes sense.
I have razer keyboard and mouse software for my razer keyboard and death adder mouse, I disabled it trying to increase the performance of apps one was windowblinds so I unchecked it I'll see how it goes.
setting the titlebar size to 25 if the total graphic is 50 seems to help, but to me it seems like after so many minutes it happens again. Do the coders read these posts?
hmmmm...setting the titlebar size to zero looks like the fix...will wait and see
Can we lose the light/dark mode thing? Very bad idea, IMHO.
I love the dark option it's easy on my old eyes
yea so typing 0 up to 15 in sks titlebar extra settings os caption height keeps the titlebar behaving. it also makes cribbage deluxe from the microsoft store go wanky when you minimize and max app by clicking the taskbar icon without settings 0-15 to the skins titlebar.
Setting the titlebar size to either 0 or 15 seems to have settled it down oh and it makes Cribbage Deluxe on the micrsoft store act up when you minimize and maximize it to the taskbar but doesn't act up when the titlebar size it changed to 0 or 15. thanks all
Dark mode is very helpful for developers who spend 10+ hours a day starting at a screen. I love it. It's all I've used since each OS I use came out with it. ~ V2
I believe he's referencing to the "light/dark mode" settings in Windowblinds 11, Jim (RedneckDude) uses Dark mode all the time.
Correct, Don. The setting in WindowBlinds 11 doesn't play well with Windows dark mode, which I use exclusively.
Thanks for the clarity... like the clarity that dark mode brings. HAHAHAA. Ahem. Sorry.
odd I can't get the taskbars to change now, it seems stuck on my 1st skin disable I want the toolbar buttons to be flat under options fixed it
any time line on beta 2?
no it dont its just dark in pc cant see s.it no matter what style i use and its on 22H2
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I am not fully understand what are your issue. Can you elaborate more on it and post some screenshots of the issue please.
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.

Do you have HDR turned on your system monitor? If you do, please turn it off and see if the issue goes away. There is known issue with current version of WB11 with HDR turned on system. Try that and report back.
Thank you,
Basj,Stardock Community Assistant
hdr off works but i just wont use it, i will not change all the time to play games in hdr and back to read my folders.
I believe since its a known issue, hopefully, it be resolve on the next updates.
I spoke to creator of StartAllBack. And he's afraid that Stardock is trying to steal his source code because their Start10 / 11 is shity crap.
What?
Sean DrohanStardock Product Lifecycle Manager
Uhh who said that? I've have used StartAllBack and it in no way compares to StartX. It has much fewer customization options and uses a hack that simply reinstates the W10 taskbar which MSFT could remove at any minute totally breaking StartAllBack.
I'm fairly certain that Stardock neither has the need nor desire to "Steal" anyone's source as StartX is pretty mature with its own codebase. Also considering that it uses a completely different method as such both would be incompatible.
I would be interested in knowing who made that remark but at the end of the day both are good and it's up to the user to decide which they prefer. I personally prefer StartX because its actively developed and the devs actually listen to their users. I have seen tons of reported bugs/feature requests handled in what most would consider a very rapid pace.
