Wanted to see if others have noticed this, or if its just an anomaly. Last 3 games I tried small sector sizes, even with normal nebula rates. I had 0 promethion sources in all 3 games for the entire sector, had to use the bazaar for my entire supply, was even rarer than Elerium.
Anyone else experiencing that?
Promethion tends to be one of the rarer resources in my experience. Not sure about the sector size aspect of it. But my current game I started in a medium sector and it has none. In a prior game of 4 large sectors, the bottom two had only one star with prometion around it.
So yea. I've come to expect this to be rare. Luckily, it doesn't seem to be needed particularly badly, so not having much isn't game-killing (unless you're the Onyx, I suppose...)

This has been my experience too and should be re-balanced.
Since this works as designed with resources being generated by RGN, I see no reason for a change or a balance pass as you win some you loss some.
No - this is broken. I'm played several games and promethian is very rare- even when resources are set to max. This needs to be more in line with durathinium.
In my last few games I have had less durathinium than promethian in my home sector so I have to say it is not "broken". It has been mentioned though many times in this and on Discord so the Devs are aware of it.
I agree that this is broken. I have tried several games (which huge sector and galaxy sizes) and I basically gave up after scouring half a dozen or so sectors with NO Promethion whatsoever. And that was with resources set to abundant.
In my opinion you should find some at least of all resources after having gone through half a dozen sectors.

For some reason Thulium being the most useless resource is everywhere, elerium and antimatter are tied to the amount of nebulas and black holes you selected and promethium is just meant to be rare as anything which just makes sense because almost everything useful uses it. Personally I find it strange how you can build a gigantic fleet of advanced laser vessels with 0 elerium and how fleets take no maintenance.
