Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.
It is not showing for you because your 5 pack was licensed under a different email address. I have merged the accounts and you should now be able to see the 5 pack and the link to the beta download Paul ScrogginsAssociate Technical Support Analyst
I apologize, I had not noticed: thank you very much!
Do you have more than one monitor and have your main monitor to the right of the secondary monitors and only show the taskbar on the main monitor?
If so the beta 1.22 build available in your downloads on the store resolves this.
Auto hide taskbar enabled
Taskbar aligned to the LEFT.
Result: Taskbar stuck in the middle and not showing clock/date.
One monitor.
TV LG C1
3840x 2160 Scale 300% (recommended).
Please uninstall Start11, REBOOT and then reinstall Start11 1.22 beta.
We made changes so I would be surprised if that could still happen.
Don't know what happened but it started working again.
I think deleting the whole registy entry and rebooting (so that the list of monitors in the MMStuckRects3 key was updated) and then changing the value in the new entry, did the trick.
Leaving this here for anyone else searching for this issue.
The problem with the Office365 icons not displaying properly persists, same behavior as in 1.21 beta. See here and here.
Start 11 stopped working for me since the last 2 builds. I can press the start button but not much happening besides the active window of any open app getting an inactive titlebar.2 Monitors.
This happens, when I press start on the 2nd monitor.
Start menu opens in the taskbar of the 1st monitor.
I have downloaded the beta now. It fixes the issue I raised but has 2 others I've found:
Can we get an option when right-clicking an app on the taskbar to close just the one window you click on rather than all, or all on one monitor? I often have multiple instances of various apps open and usually just want to close one of them. Having the close all options is helpful in some cases, but another option to close just the one window seems like something that is missing.
Posting here since I was told feedback from the Discord does not always make it to the devs:
Is it a known issue that the Start11 taskbar does not update to match system dark/light theme changes, and is there a better workaround than opening Start11 settings and manually toggling the automatic color option off and on again?
Additionally, is there any plan for an option for how narrow taskbar item text labels can get before they wrap? I would prefer mine get a bit narrower than they currently do with a lot of windows open rather than wrapping since the point of not having them combine is to see all my open windows at once, and it feels as though the Start11 threshold is higher than for the native Windows 7/8/10 taskbar.
Uninstall, REBOOT, reinstall.
Whilst we do not offer formal support on those dev builds, testing here shows it is working just fine suggesting some sort of installation issue.
Just to be clear: I know, I can't expect support fo insider builds, just want to offer insights. I am thankful for Your help nevertheless.
Although I have my Startmenu back on the 1st monitor after unsinstalling and re-installing, the problem still exists on the 2nd screen as shown above.
Monitor setup?
Also does the windows key open the menu?
Laptop screen is off, 2 x HP27i 2k. Scaling is set to 225 %.Button is the same problem.
All my icons to the right part of the Taskbar disapears sometimes randomly. Anyone else have this bug?
Stopped working again. Switched menu off continue to use the taskbar fun, which works.
This issue has been present in the last couple of builds. The Windows Mail icon shows as generic in the task bar. Rebooting resolves it temporarily, restarting Explorer does not.
Tried rebuilding icon cache with no change, also uninstalled Start11 completely, restarting, and reinstalling.
Windows 11 Insider Dev channel build 22610
Start11_1.22-j182 Beta
If Start11 taskbar enhancements is activated then all systray icons disappear except for speakers volume and internet connection. This is similar (but worse) to a known problem with this build where just the hidden icons disappear.
The Microsoft update wasn't ready / pushed out too soon. I used the "go back" button in the recovery options in settings myself. Maybe next week it will have a "hidden icons" button.
I noticed this as well.
I would recommend rolling back your Win11 build until Microsoft release a newer build with this fixed. This is why we say we do not officially support insider builds.
Also I strongly advise people to stay well clear of the dev/beta channel updates of Windows 11. They will have issues and are not suitable for use on machines you use actively.
