While I was trying to get a non-Stardock app to put a shortcut on my Windows desktop, I kept being directed to "...\AppData\Roaming\Stardock\S10". When I looked there, I found a whole lot of folders for non-Stardock programs with app shortcuts that dead-end at "This PC," and no Stardock programs. There was also a separate folder under "...\AppData\Roaming\Stardock" named S8 that was full of Stardock program app shortcuts, probably created when I started using Stardock on this computer.
I have the 4.03 version of Object Desktop running on Windows 10. All my Stardock programs seem to be running fine, but when I attempt to add a non-Startdock app to my computer, a dead-end shortcut appears in S10. While this issue might be, and probably is, a Windows problem, it did appear in a folder Stardock put on my computer, and so I thought that you might have run across it before, and/or could tell me where to look next. Can I delete this folder and why does Windows think that non-Stardock apps belong in folder S10?
Thank you.

I am still not certain what the issue is - that something is not working or that you are curious about why things are where they are?
Sean DrohanStardock Support Manager
Those folders exist to provide lnks for use in Start10 for installed universal apps. They have no impact on any other part of the OS and are only used by Start10.
Thank you for your responses.
Can I delete this S10 folder that has no Stardock info in it currently?
Any idea why Windows 10 thinks that non-Stardock apps belong in folder S10?
Those shortcuts are required for Start10. Deleting them will simply make them come back if Start10 is running as they are Start10 files.
I am unsure why they seem to be causing you concern?
Thank you, Neil,
They are causing me concern because none of the shortcuts in the S10 folder are for Stardock apps, unlike the S8 folder which has only Stardock apps. This difference makes me wonder if there is an error lurking in S10 that will bite me later.
