Start11 1.2 RC 1 Changelog
Start11 1.2 Beta is a culmination of prior (and perhaps future) incremental betas.
The installer will read 1.19 on your product page and in Object Desktop Manager which is expected.
Note: While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta/dev channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect it to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

The Windows startup issue is finally fixed!. No more flashing or Explorer crashing on Windows 10. Great work !!!
Thank you so much for addressing touch support! However I just wanted to check the status of cut off quick settings with the taskbar on the top of the screen. I'm still experiencing this on multiple devices running Start 11 from 1.16 through 1.19. I'm wondering if this will be addressed eventually?
Question: Is transparency and texture something that Microsoft killed off with their updated taskbar on Windows 11 22581, or is that something that can be fixed at a later date?
We cannot reproduce any issues with this which is a problem.
What display language are you using and what version of Windows 11?
Do you have anything else running which might impact the taskbar?
It is unknown at this time. We don't provide official support for Dev/Beta releases of Windows 11 because they are liable to have new 'quirks' but will be investigating a solution but there is no timeframe on this.
I would personally recommend anyone who isn't a dev (who might need to run dev/beta releases of Windows) that they stay well clear of the insider builds of Windows, especially dev channel.
Yes indeed, I can also report that 1.19 has fixed the Explorer crash on windows 10. Thanks for your diligence.
Thank you Neil for the response,
I am on beta channel (not crazy enough for dev lol) and we were happily on a 22000.XXX build until MS jumped us to a higher build.
and sh@t went sideways..lol

I'm running the current public build on Windows 11 and English (US). I'm not running any other taskbar modifications. I have used StartAllBack in the past but that is uninstalled. I have this happening across 3 separate fully updated Windows 11 clients (all public release, nothing in the insider program) including one client that has never had StartAllBack ever installed. It's really strange, I noticed StartAllBack had this problem at one point, but that developer resolved it eventually which tells me it's something with Windows. I've also seen a few other comments on the forums here about others having this exact problem so I know it isn't something with my configuration.
The only issue I have noticed is that in Windows 11 theme custom tiles now take up very little of the actual tile. Anything set to large or smaller now looks quite small and overly spaced out because the tile size is much larger then the tile icons. This is especially apparent when "hide captions" is selected but still apparent to a degree when captions are present
This is normal. Custom tiles are now set to the icon size so they match visually. It was a bug before that they were larger as they could overlap the text.
OK I understand what you are getting at. Perhaps, if the icons were spaced a bit closer together and didn't appear so far away from one another then I would find it more visually appealing.
Can you post a current video showing winver.exe result, Start11 About tab, and this happening? It's not that we don't believe, it's for archival \ bug reporting.
Also, are you able to reproduce the issue at other (lower perhaps) resolutions \ DPI settings?
I gather you are not using other monitor software like DisplayFusion (or ever have) on these boxes?
Thanks for the feedback.

I've had this happen on three separate machines some including my surface pro 7 as well as monitors using 100% dpi and 1920x1080 resolution. I've included a screenshot below. This was taken on a 1080p monitor at 100% dpi. Is a video necessary? I've never used display fusion or anything like it.
When show a buttons peek thumbnail clicking on the taskbar button to restore the window causes the preview to move far left then vanish. It happens no matter center or left aligned.
Reproduce.
1. Minimize a window
2. Hover the button until peek displays.
3. Click button to restore window.
Does not do it if you restore via clicking the thumbnail.
Also thumbnail content is still missing in some windows that are minimized. Namely the Start11 Config window.
Also icons that have captions turned off are misaligned.
Also can we get the same "Open file location" behaviour in the Win11 style as with the Win7 style? In win7 style it opens to the links target but in win11 style it opens the start menu folder to the .lnk file
Is it possible to disable the slide in animation on the task bar of new buttons?
Just the slide in, or all the animations on the taskbar buttons?
slide in is most annoying, but disabling all animations would be even better
Any chance to make the taskbar a bit thinner on "medium" setting? Or maybe give us another option, lets say:
small, xxxx, medium, large?
Medium is much thicker than "normal" on windows 10.
Thank you
There are a few things that I don't seem to be able to do in the taskbar settings that I want to be able to do. Perhaps I'm just not finding the settings that I'm looking for or they just aren't there (yet).
I'm running on 3 horizontal monitors. The primary monitor is the central monitor. I only want the start button, widgets, clock, etc. to appear on the primary monitor. Currently, all of those are reproduced on all of the monitors. I've checked Start11 settings and Win11 settings and can't find a way to turn those off.
The second thing is that I want to task buttons to center on the primary monitor and then be right-aligned on the left monitor and left-aligned on the right monitor so that the buttons are pushing towards the center. I'd also like to try out the secondary monitor's taskbars to be vertical with the primary monitor being at the bottom of the screen. The setting in Start11 only has options for "align bottom" and "align top". The side alignment is just something that I'd like to be able to try, but I've never done before, so that's not a big deal.
The other 2 items I used to do with DisplayFusion, but if I have that running, then the secondary monitors do not expand the descriptions on the secondary taskbar buttons and I'd prefer to see the descriptions over having the buttons pushed closer to the middle.
Thanks! This is looking great.
Hi there, great work but please test the taskbar when it is aligned at the Top of the screen.I don't see any of these problems when the taskbar is aligned at the bottom of the screen. There are some show-stopper problems:
Thanks!
System tray icons do not respond to left or right click even after reboot. This is untenable. Please help.
