Just to say that ObjectDock the animated quick-launch utility has moved with me from Windows 7 to 8 to 10 and now to 11.
I can't live without it and I encourage you to relaunch this fab product.
I know you had stability issues post Windows 8 but it is 100% stable in both Win10 and 11 if, in troubleshooting, you:
Just create a version with these options removed and bobs your uncle.
You are 100% right I moved on to Fences and what a disaster, My destop had over 100 icons shortcuts any program that accesses the desktop see all these icons. Object Destop had links to programs not shortcuts. I am moving back to Object Desktop and will be using your suggestions for windows 11.
Just add a few things to Object Desktop that Fences does like the snapshot would be great If people would see how great the program is they would leave Fences. Under ($5 dollars)
Fences and ObjectDock are 2 totally different apps.
Only problem is my post was about ObjectDock
Sorry I meant Object Docks
I second that. although there was one issue, after a while, it loses its settings and I had to rearrange it again. now I'm using fewer apps that way I don't need to worry about something like that occurring. still, it is helpful software especially the 'stack' addition which I don't know who I should thank for, but this addition is very useful, setting a folder or a drive to be accessible in a single click, choosing the folder inside that you want to open. oddly it still works even with win 11. IMHO this project should not have been abandoned.
I, too, found Object Dock to be very useful and wouldn't mind using it again. I'm not sure I would like all the disabling needing to be done in order to use it now, though. I've been researching tips and such and working with the Fences 11 upgrade to see if it might be viable for me. I do use Groupy, and love it, but still struggling to figure out how to integrate various Stardock programs to best work for me. Object Dock just seemed so straightforward and easy to use, especially in grouping my programs.
I have been using Object Dock for quite a long time, but have been trying out Fences 4. I like many of the new features that have been added. I also have tried to duplicate Object Dock in a couple of ways. I have placed my Fences rolled and placed in the upper corner of my desktop. Eight different fences each with 10 to 15 different programs or folders, it works great and you can clear the desktop with a desktop quick hide. When you roll over any title bar it expands. Trying to make a decision before going to windows 11
I upgraded to Windows 11, and basically had no problems. After a while, I felt brave enough to try installing Start 11, which I've been experimenting with. I really like a lot of what it does, in combo with Win 11 features. I'm able to arrange the Task Bar in ways that work well, and in the Start Menu I have organized programs into groups (even color coded groups within the groups!), and put some onto a second "page." I have just started experimenting with the newest feature of Start 11, using folders. I ran into a problem where Fences was giving me problems, so I deactivated it while I try to figure out the problem. One might have been conflicting macros when I tried out macros for Fences. I did find one conflict and fixed it, but no change so far.
Complete opposite for me. It was working fine now none of the fly our menus work.Incredibly frustrating.
Thanks for the tip, 5555! The dock had grabbed 99% of CPU and dragged my system to a crawl so I wiped it. Might give it another chance now!
Just a follow upObjectDock breaks Start 11 so not working fine in Windows 11 I found a replacement NeXuS which is a direct replacement and works in Windows 11
I have tried to see about Nexus bar but I don't like it. the ObjectDock was easier to use and perfect for organize icons clearly.
It looks like ObjectDock is currently being teased for Windows 11. Hopefully we hear more about this soon
I've been using Winstep Extreme for fifteen years at least. It has remained rock stable, with no problems whatsoever.
The Nexus dock has many more options than Object Dock at this point, and nothing has to be disabled in it, by the way.
You can see a comparison of the Winstep products here:

Ohhh, really? it is a piece of nice news! I really hope it will be completed
Just so you know, very recently, I read, somewhere, ObjectDock 3.0 is on the way...
Thank you,

I have just upgraded to ObjectDock V3.0 and I am unable to get the Stack Docklet to work. It worked fine under V2.0. Also noticed that the Weather app is still broken in V3?
I believe some part of ObjectDock V2 might be removed for V3 to make sure V3 more compatible with every Windows 10/11 release version.
Hi, are you confirming that the Weather App and Stack Docklet are not supported in V3?
No, I am not confirming anything, please wait for official announcement from Support with regarding these issue.
No, he didn't say that. The devs are putting together a fan regarding what will and won't work...because of W10 and W11 depreciating features of XP, W7, etc. prior OSs.
