Hi everyone, I'm trying to create a recolourable version of my Windows Classic skin so that people can make their own themes with it, but using the WindowBlinds recolouring tool only seems to recolour the titlebar. Please see attached image. Unticking "Use smart recolouring" helps but produces undesirable results. Is there a way to tell WindowBlinds, whether in SkinStudio or in WB itself, to consider the taskbar/button faces etc. as the primary items for recolouring? Thanks.
Sometimes you can get better results by leaving "Use smart recolouring" checked, unchecking the 2 sliders on the right that default to "Automatic", and moving those sliders around. It kind of depends on how much variation is in the skin's colors. Looks like the color you're wanting to change is green, so I'd scoot the "Primary skin colour" slider over to the green section.
I don't know if you can define a primary skin color in SkinStudio. It seems like I may have seen it at some point but I couldn't begin to tell you where or even for sure that it's there. Some one else might know.
This has worked really well thank you Dave.
You're welcome. I've found the technique to be very useful.
is this still being worked on? i really want to use it to recreate the "rainy day" theme from windows 95-98.
