Problems with Fences 4 Beta 1 & Fences 4 Beta 2
After I created Folder Portals on the desktop by pressing the Alt mouse to select a folder, when I entered the folder through the Folder Portals on the desktop and then returned to the previous folder, the file explorer crashed directly
The computer configuration is as follows

I can't take a screenshot on my PC as it removes the HDR and clears up the text. But here is a picture I took with my phone.

Beta 1 was the same. All drop down menu options are garbled if HDR is enabled on the monitor.

After completely uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of fence 4, it still does not work properly. After creating Folder Portals, and then sorting out the files in the Folder Portals folder, an error will be reported directly, prompting me "File Explorer" Failed to close normally", after restarting fences, the screen is black and prompts "File Explorer failed to close normally".
Still an issue with this latest release in Object Desktop always showing an Update is available. Even after update and reboot it comes back.
Can you post a screenshot of the About menu in Fences, please?
No Transparancy for Fances. They display all black.
Please try uninstall and reinstall again. Reboot and retest.

Problem report conflicting with Explorer
Just upgraded from Fence 3 to 4 on Win 11 Build 22504."Allow navigation" doesn't work on my fences, it just opens a new explorer window every time. Fences 3 had the same issue recently (probably since upgrading to Win 11). I've tried toggling it as well.I haven't been able to tell if it would work on newly created fences as I can't create new ones for now.
Please check and make sure in Windows Explorer Folder options->General tab->Browse Folders->Select "Open each folder in the same window"->Click apply. And retest. Report back.
It was already like that. I wouldn't have expected Fences to work differently otherwise.
+1. Been like this from Beta 1 for me. Also in beta 2 shortcuts isn't working.
You are talking about portal fences, yes? Because normal fence do not open up inside itself.
I am talking about portal fences yes, they show the setting "Allow navigation" on right click.

Having a multi monitor setup I can't get Fences to restore (or remember) correct monitor. I have tried to turn off "Main Display" settings. Now my monitors are sharing background and therefor it would look like one very wide one. They are also set as to move fluently from one onto another as one would expect.
So even if Fences treated this as "one" monitor, it should remember the positioning.
It takes a correct screenshot, but it doesn't restore it manually or other wise. There is no error code, it just don't do anything when restoring.

Trying to install Fence 4.0 and keep getting same error. Tried rebooting with no change. Nothing listed as "uninstall" in processes. How can I fix.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.
