Ouch... Yeah, I was able to reproduce that. I created an internal ticket for it.
Internal Ref: FEN-111
Thanks for the report, xsizors.
Just tried to update to Fences 4 Beta 1 using Object Desktop and received Error 255. Problem is the installation is being Quarantined by Acronis Cyber Protect Home as a Trojan.GenAgent.I file. Problem is also that ALL Fences installations are flagged, even though the product is installing (it just won't bring up the startup screen unless you start Fences using the Windows 11 start menu item). Performed a custom scan using Norton 360 and file comes up clean. Turning off Cyber Protect doesn't help...

Very likely because the file is brand new. An over-aggressive AV product is something every developer experiences on 1st release.
Thank you for the report, however.
Text in the Fences settings look kind of odd, almost like ClearType isn't enabled on it, if I use a DPI scale above 100%. Using Windows 11 version 21H2 (build 22000.318)
Also, if I try to restore a Fence layout (which I have to do often, icons changing locations and not changing back when changing resolutions still isn't fixed), I get an error. I can take a snapshot in Fences 4 and actually restore it on Fences 3 no problem.
Facing the following issue. Hope the screenshot provides a better explanation of the issue.
Running the latest F4B1. Two issues.
1. The "Update" button never goes away even after update.
2. Desktop background stays the same for multiple monitors rather than displaying a different background for each monitor. See video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CM3WeT7c8-7w956DtN7XppopXt1sNVR9/view?usp=sharing
Windows 10 Pro, V: 21H1, 19043.1348
I had the same error as above. I upgraded to the beta and my fences went all wonky. It looked like there was one really large fence that was overlapping most of the screen. I tried to restore a snapshot and got the same error as the above user.
I'm running windows 11, 4 monitor setup.
Yeah, I was able to reproduce this. I have created an internal ticket to have it looked at.

Thank you very much for the report MrEWhite.
I was able to reproduce this and have placed an internal ticket to have it looked at.

I am going to have to test more on that one...
Really MINOR issue. Version information seems to be out of sync.
Can we PLEASE have the option to NOT move the titles of the fences to the BOTTOM of the window? I find this to be SO annoying when every other fence NOT at the top of the screen has the title bars at the top while those at the very top move the title bar to the bottom.
Fences 3 did this, and I'm not sure how I over came that, but, this has become SO pronounced now.
Is there a comparison chart to list the differences between version 3 and this new version 4?
With the latest version of Fences installed when I try to interact with Start11, like move or resize a tile, start11 hangs along with Explorer. I uninstall Fences and Start11 and Explorer act normally.
The bulk of the changes are listed in the change log for the beta version. The main new feature really at this early stage is windows peek which is more useful then I expected. If fences 4 is anything like start 11 has been, then you can expect the bulk of development to actually be during the beta process. Therefore, there should be several upcoming changes as well. Beta 1 is more for people that want to be active during the development process.
I have a problem with the new
feature. After sometime without any logical reason pressing normal space won't work anymore as always "Windows key + space" is made. First I thought a stuck key so I pressed the Windows key several times alone, but it works fine and doesn't change anything. Only solution to correct this is turning off the feature or restarting the computer. So I disabled the feature for now.

I'm going to ditto Loeffelmaster's post. I had to disable the feature because it turned my spacebar into , well, who the hell knows what. I disabled, and set each item to disabled.
WIN 11.
Please consider change Win+Space to another key. This key is the default keyboard layout switch for Windows 8-11.
Going in to the about screen gives garbled text where you select the language. i tried to take a screenshot and the garbled text doesn't show in the screenshot. Which leads me to believe it's an issue with the HDR being turned on. My 2 other PC's don't do this as they don't have HDR enabled.
TLDR: Garbled text in drop down menus in the fences 4 options. Believe it to be related to HDR being turned on.
Cant run configure fences. Getting following error in event viewer
