This is the strangest video game error I have ever seen. When I hit the next turn button the process freezes at unknown civilization 4 every time. But all other aspects of the game remained functional. I could give executive orders, access every menu, move around the map, select planets, add to build cue, and even use the ship builder while the next turn button was frozen. Normally when a game freezes everything stops. Does anyone know why that is happening, and how to fix it? I have considered starting a new game, but I do not want get 3 hours in and have it freeze again.
I just want to say to stardock that the changes in v 0.55 are amazing. But functionality of the next turn process are absolutely essential.
I believe this might be the same bug reported here.
Can you post a save game before the hanged turn?

Can you please zip the file and then share the link? Google Drive does weird things when you share our save files directly because it recognizes them as zip files.
OK, so apparently it's just me having trouble downloading save files from Google Drive. One of our community managers was able to download it and send it to me. I loaded and tested with it, and was unable to reproduce the stuck turn, so it's one of the bugs that I've fixed here.

Im having same freeze..on 3 of my last games..I gave up and restarted. it has happened between 60 and 70 turns in...differnt civs and different number on civ that locked up...
Yeah 0.55 has a lot of problems. I'm going to wait until it developers put out a message saying that they've updated and fixed a bunch of things before I try to start a new game.
I have noticed that, when the game freezes during the transition to a new turn, if I save the game, exit, then restart the game and load the saved game, I will find a planet where I had queued-up ejecting ships, but only one or a few of the ships actually ejected leaving some on the planet. This suggests to me that the program is trying to do something related to ejecting a ship that it cannot complete thereby causing the hang. I cannot say for sure that this is the cause, but it is something for the coders to check-out.
You might be on to something it happens to me when a particular civilization runs but it might just be that that civilization was ejecting a ship.
I fixed a bunch of stuck turn bugs that were in 0.55 so you may want to switch to 0.6.
If you can give me a save game with detailed instructions on how to reproduce the stuck turn caused by ships ejecting in 0.6, please do so. I was unable to reproduce that variant of the stuck turn bug here.
