Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.
The announcement relates to the build from next week not the 0.55 build you currently have.
Thanks. Good to know. Can't wait. The two features which I desire the most: smaller taskbar and old contextual menu of the File Explorer.
Small issue I've noticed. When pressing windows key and typing to initiate a search, it seems to often lose the first character. Seems to occur if I do it too fast, so likely when the opening animation is triggered but not complete.
This is when using the Windows 11 search, not Start 11 search.
Use Explorer Patcher.
Win 10 21H1 Build 10.0.19043.1266
Is there a way to 'refresh' the Universal Applications menu list? My MS Edge icon is missing:
The properties of that entry contains the following target path:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11\Launch.exe" /Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe!MicrosoftEdge
TIA.
Thanks, I am aware of that. Don't want to waste too much time trying out things and just wait for the latest and greatest release of Start11 this week.
Hi Stormwave.
I've reported that at least a couple of times.Hopefully it is being fixed as it is a very annoying bug.It also happens if you press the Start11 start button and start typing when using the Windows 11 search setting.
I don't see the option, but I may need glasses-- Is there an option to turn off the "combine icons" in the taskbar? That's my biggest W11 complaint.
Running Win 11 pro build 22000.194 with all the latest updates and patches. When I click on a menu item in the Start menu all I get is a short line. Tried reinstalling Start 11 most current beta with no results.
Please refer to your own thread.

Just updated to Windows 11 today. Start11 does not work. It installs fine and shows that its enabled but when I click start button its not the Start11 one but the existing one.
After the install, did you reboot...?

I installed Start11 whilst still running Windows 10. Then upgraded to Windows 11, and Start11 appears to be running exactly as before with one exception. There was an option in the settings for you to chose the icon for the Start button, and I had changed it to look like the old Windows 7 icon. That option no longer appears, and I cannot find a way to change the start button icon. Can anyone advise. If it is not possible can this be considered for a future update. Thanks.

Just for context
Upgraded from Win10 Pro to Win11 Pro via Windows Update in September via Insider program
Start 10 was installed during upgrade, Windows Upgrade Advisor warned I needed to upgrade to Start 11 beta.
Stopped Windows Upgrade, rebooted
Installed Start 11 Beta
Rebooted
Upgraded from Win10 Pro to Win11 Pro via Windows Update
Didn't use Start 11 in the first couple of weeks to get used to Win11 start menu.
Tried Start 11 yesterday..."Problem found"
Ran script in link
rebooted
reinstalled Start 11 0.55
Now the toggle 'does something' -------->Success
I updated to Win 11 pro from the Final beta release and had no issues. I will say that my beta release was a clean install on 2 Samsung 980 pro's in RAID 0 on my Alienware X17 laptop. Prior to that I had an earlier Windows 11 release that was an upgrade install over Win 10 pro and on that build after installing Start 11 it didn't replace windows 11 start menu but showed as a second icon in the taskbar. When I installed start 11 on the clean install of the Win 11 beta the Win 11 start menu was fully replaced. Their was very little difference between the final release beta and the final release and that update took about 10 minutes from start to finish. The only noticeable difference was the added ability to do disk cleanup when you right clicked on a specific drive. I'd try uninstalling using Revo uninstaller and if that doesn't fix your issue then do a clean Windows install. I will say that I have very few issues or bugs with Win 11 and hasn't had a single crash or lockup. I I attribute that to my build not being an upgrade over Win 10. Oh and FYI, This is what 2 RAID'd Samsung 980 pro's look like om my X17 which had dual PCIe 4.0 slots.
Start menu shaky once or twice for a millisecond when opened as if it is refreshing itself.
Not a good visual effect. See attached screen recording (the second time clicking on the Start)
