I am having the same issue this person is having..... so glad I found someone having same/similar issue I thought it was just me..... Click here to view other thread
(FYI link above is not me just another person with similar issue (Links to a diff website))
Except my issue occurs with any grouped windows.... I have tried new mice, new usb ports, new drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling, rebooting ect. with no luck. For my job my windows have to be locked in a particular spot on the screen, but since sometimes clicking on grouped tab moves the whole window it messes everything up. It does not do this on windows not grouped.
I really need a fix for this badly....
Extra note: The main windows/groups having issues are windows not set to full maximize, and i can't just set them to that as it would mess up my job.... And it will sometimes drag the whole window, or just the tab itself even if my finger is off the mouse button.
While I am sad you are having the same issue, I am also very happy to hear you are experiencing the same exact issue. It confirms 100% that it is not just me. The other person having the issue, was having 1 similar but not exactly the same.
Caught the bug on video!Locked group, slidey tab
Unlocked group tab stuck to cursor and below it
Hello,
I have forwarded your report to the Stardock support team for their review and recommendations.
Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates.
We really do appreciate your feedback, thanks.
Thus far, almost every report has one using an extension causing the issue:
Punto Switcherhttps://steamcommunity.com/app/912170/discussions/0/3938911974191132436/?ctp=2
If you disable ALL browser extensions, can you still reproduce it?

Yes, have tried turning all browser extensions off.... I don't have Punto Switcher either...
Is the mouse you are using a gaming mouse with very high DPI \ polling rate? If so, and you disable the software for it, or lower the DPI \ polling rate, does it still happen? Does it happen with a standard mouse if you have one available?
While the mouse I have is a gaming mouse, I got it purely for the shape/feel and don't use any of the extra software that came with it. It does have a DPI changing switch on the mouse but I don't have it set to crazy high (like most gamers) I just have it set to default settings. I had to actually open the software that came with it to check its settings.
Polling Rate was at 1000 so I dropped it to 125 will test to see if it fixes issues, my DPI is at 2000 any slower and it will be too slow.
I have tested with a few other mice including a standard dell mouse and issue still occurred.
Understood.

Issue still persists, even after reducing Polling Rate to 125, I then reduced DPI to 1200 temporarily (as it would be way to slow for work) and issue continued.
I wish this was something we could reproduce or widely seen - it's just not.
My remaining suggestions:

So far so good, but I know that as soon as I submit this it might start going wonky again. I use groupy tabs and switch tabs regularly like 100+ times a day... So the fact I was able to type this is a good sign.... Will know more though later... As this issue is so random....
Well funny story.... was coming back here, to check if any responses and wouldn't you guess it stuck again. So, no joy.
Will try clean boot again, but later.... takes forever, to re-open all apps/windows.
I have the same/similar problem. I click on a tab and the entire tab group sticks to my cursor and moves around the screen with my mouse until I click again. None of the solutions I found here works. Happens randomly several times a day.
clean boot didn't fix anything....not sure whats going on....
We would like you (all with the issue) to try this build and see if you can still reproduce it:
https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Groupy_test05102021.exe
If the build does not help then I would want you to try adding the following registry key and rebooting:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Groupy\Groupy.ini\Groupy\AllowFlicker = 1
You can use this batch file to auto add it if you do not feel comfortable doing it manually:
https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/GroupyAdd.zip
Let us know.
At work right now, but will get this all setup after work to try. (it takes forever to close out of work stuff, otherwise I'd test now)
Thanks!!
Preliminary tests (5 mins of switching tabs), good so far, but won't know for certain until I use it at work all day. As I have said before, it is so random, that its hard to catch purposefully .
Woot woot!! 6+ Hours and no sticking(use to stick several times an hour)!! (1st Option) Appears to have worked, will advise if that changes. *knock on wood*
I can add a second confirmation about the new build. No tabs sticking to my cursor today.
Excellent news. Did either of you need to use the reg key edit or did just the installing work?
Just the install.
Just the install for me as well.
I did just the install. No more tab sticking; but there is the very odd drag lag when dragging a group to another window.
But by far better than the sticky tabs.
I thought the odd drag behavior was just me, i haven't had a chance to restart yet to see if that fixed it or not.... but now since someone else says they have that issue as well... I'll bring it up too.
Drag issue only occurs if you drag by using the groupy tabs bar, not the window bar below that.
I have the drag behavior as well. When I drag a tab group from one spot to another, the mouse goes where I want it then the tab group follows the same path just delayed about a second or two. I have it set with the tab group bar above the window and the drag behavior only happens when dragging by the tab group bar not the actual windows bar.
I didn't really notice this until now because I normally keep my windows maximized on my monitors.
