Having used Fences for some while, I thought I'd try the new version of Tiles as a quicker and easier alternative to the Windows Task View and the Task Bar, but I find it unintuitive to the degree that I can't even get anything onto the 'My Tiles' tab - whenever I open the tiles bar and drag a window to it, it just closes. If try to I shift-drag a window to it, it just gets resized to one of three frames, left, right, or center. I'm not clear what the various tabs are supposed to do, or how I can switch desktops.
Is there a simple and clear user manual or dummies guide somewhere?
Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Thanks for the response, AzDude, but I already saw that video and it doesn't help. As I said, I'm looking for a manual or guide with instructions and explanations, not a marketing trailer.
Things like:
Why Tiles?
How does Tiles fit in with Windows Task View and the Windows Task Bar?
How is Tiles intended to be used?
What are the tabs in the Tiles bar for, and how are they used?
How are windows added to the Tiles bar?
How are different desktops added to Tiles?
How are desktops accessed or switched from Tiles?
and so-on.
It looks interesting and useful, but I can't get started with it.
I agree with the OP too - I am struggling to understand what benefit this provides over and above Task View and Task Bar.
Also I would like to understand the integration with Groupy.
On initial assessment, I thought this was some sort of window manager (as the name seems to indicate) like Fancyzones but realized soon after it has nothing to do with that.
