I think there is not a need for so much zoom in (I don't need to see the details of the textures on the units). For better tactical awareness I'd like more zoom out (like Ashes but not to the point of a satellite view) to where the whole level can be seen on screen without the need to scroll around.
Thats true to this game the zoom its not need be so close, and that might give bether options to the game for the fps drop.

More variable zoom options would be nice.
I agree, there need to be a larger 'zoom out'. You need to be able to see the whole field at once and then zoom back in to do any spot controlling.
I've increased the amount you can zoom out on larger maps.
