Now that SC:O is out and engineers are available for GalCiv3, I think it's time to report some of the bugs and other things that exist in GalCiv3. I have been checking out these bugs and other thing while playing the game and trying to get as much information as possible about them to make it easier for whoever is working on GalCiv3 to find them and verify they exist. Hopefully that will make them easier to fix. I have included a lot of information on how to find the bugs and any other thoughts I have about them. Some of these are what I think are weaknesses in the AI, including the reason I think they are weaknesses.Instead of putting them all here, I have created a PDF document with all the information. It is available here.
Wow at the pdf. Kudos.
Thanks for posting this.
Scrolling bug? 12year old? Sounds to me like you are talking about a different game.
"All AI-controlled ships ignore the range limits the ships have. This was introduced in Crusade. It was claimed to be fixed in 3.02, but it just made it less bad."
Yes, posted about this already myself.
Tell me (and others) when this is fixed @Frogboy (is it already?), so that I can buy the new expansion packs (Intrigue and later).
If people think that isn´t that important...
Well, at least for me this is a single player game, and good, but also reasonably fair, AI is a selling point (especially in 4 X games). Generally this is true for this game, but this here is just bad, because the AI just ignores (in part at least) a game mechanic, which also leads into them knowing and reaching you and other races, even though they should not, which also changes the game in another bad way.
