When are Stardock going to sort out the problems and update windowblinds to cope with the problems that are prevalent on the Windows 10 Fall update (1809). Closing and minimising Edge for example does not work any more, Task View is very dodgy also some programs don't close or minimise properly, Nahimic for example.
No wonder you are offering Windowblinds for half price at the moment because that is all it is worth!
Please Update!
That is actually Microsoft's "problems". They even withdrew the latest release due to its deleting Users' files [and their subsequent inability to restore them].
Developers appear to be playing chase-up with the obvious lack of an MS QA department.
I agree that Microsoft are having there own problems with the update but the skinning of things like Edge are Windowblinds problem.
That error has been there since the early betas of this particular Windows 10 version, so should have been seen and sorted by now.
We are testing an internal build now - it won't be long - thank you for your patience.

I am having the same problems and I don't think it is worth describing them again. If only I know how to turn WindowBlinds off instead of uninstalling it. I also see that support on the last post is testing a new version and asking for patience. I really cannot wait! Iam hoping it will be soon.
Open the WindowBlinds Config and select "Default theme". Apply it and that's it.
On second thought, I have decided to give the description of my own issues with WindowBlinds in order for the support team at Stardock to have a good idea of what affected users are facing.
After upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10 (17763.1), I am finding the following bugs that are being caused by WindowBlinds and for which I don't have a solution:-After opening Edge, I cannot use any of the buttons at the top right corner of the window, be it the minimize (-) , the maximize or the close (X) buttons to do anything. They just don't respond. In order to circumvent the problem, I always have to right-click the title bar and execute those functions. This is not the ideal way to do things.
-In file explorer, when I left-click on a folder or a sub-folder in the navigation pane, the whole explorer window just closes by itself. The solution I found to bypass this difficulty is to right-click the folder or sub-folder and open it in a new window. One cannot definitely work this way when it comes to folders, sub-folders and documents.
The proof is that after uninstalling your software, I don't have anymore the aforementioned problems. Everything went back to normal. It was just to let you know and I would be happy to be notified by email of any new update (patch) to fix this issue whenever available.
@Hankers,
Thanks a lot for the tip, I will try it ASAP.
I have big problems with Window blinds since the latest Windows 10 October update. Before the update was released the computer I had been working on for three years crashed on me and I couldn't get it back to a functional state so I went and bought a new system for $100.00. After getting it up and running I updated that computer from Windows 10 1803 to 1809 before MS pulled it off the market. Updated to 1809 was flawless for me. I waited 3 days before I re-installed WindowBlinds_10.5.0_setup_sd.exe and I had no problems with the install or the program launching -but- when I applied a skin (Flash on Black.wba) everything on my screen went black, the desktop was gone, no taskbar, the mouse worked, Ctrl+Alt+Delete worked, so I clicked Task Manager but no task manager will show up, my sound effect told me it executed but I couldn't see it. I restarted my computer three times, thinking that would solve the issue, that didn't work. I booted to safe mode and un-installed Window Blinds and re-booted and successfully logged-in to my desktop and everything was back to normal. My desktop was visible again. Window Blinds needs to be updated and I for one want to be informed by Email when it is. When I bought my copy that was money I really didn't have because I should have purchased food for belly instead. So please Stardock check the code for the new Windows 10 upgrade and fix Window Blinds, thank you. Thinkr8"Someone said, You're thinking too much so I thought more."
Thinker8 just to let you know as of now the current version of WindowBlinds is 10.65.
So just to confirm things I have found that need testing are:
The proper skinning of Microsoft Edge.
Making Task View work properly.
Programs like Steam and Nahimic don't behave well either.
Looking forward to Update, sooner rather than later please.
Hello all!I installed Win10 1809 the day it became available and then installed the Win10 update this past Tuesday (10/09). So far the only WindowBlinds issue I have is a minor annoyance: the taskbar is not skinning since installing the update three days ago. Usually I use one skin overall and then set it to use another skin's taskbar. No matter what I do I am getting the Windows 10 stock taskbar. Has anyone else run into this? If so, have you found a way around this?
Thanks in advance.
THANK YOU for the latest beta version of Windowblinds, pretty much most of my problems have been solved with this version and Windows 1809. Just the right clicking of the mouse on the Title Bar to close app doesn't always work, but I can live with that for now. THANKS AGAIN.
Are you using Classic Shell?
Neil, thanks for responding...
No, not using Classic Shell. And to clarify: I am not using any third party taskbar enhancement programs.
I run on 1709, I've blocked updates. It's not worth updating windows 10
Edit: Wow, my first board message, after registering 14 years ago
Just a little shy ....
I am also having similar issues with WindowBlinds and the latest update. I find that it is not playing well with any of the Universal Applications. Hopefully that build will be done soon!
Have you try this latest WB Update https://forums.stardock.com/491626/page/1/#replies
No, I did not know about that. I just downloaded it and it is working fine! Thanks for letting me know about that. Back to business as normal.
I have just installed your Beta version and I don't know if I am saying this too early, but it is working fine. The two main issues I had described in my second post on this forum are gone. Congrats on a job well done to the Stardock Support team!
