I received one in the game I played. Class 9
It doesn't always show up in the home system, I've had to look around for it.
I looked around in my entire influence sphere (and beyond), but could not find anything ...
I got a planet last game. Not sure about this game. Haven't checked to see if it is done building. But even when it is done there are too many empty worlds so might be difficult to find.
I got Brindle's Observatory quite late in the game, all planets (even extreme ones) that I can see are already colonized. So it should be no problem to see a new, uncolonized planet ...
The Brindle Planet is not uncolonized. You gain a new (already colonized) planet.
Huh? Ok - since normally the AI beats me at gaining Brindle's Observatory I can't remember the last time I got it ... have to check that, although I cannot remember a new colonized planet having appeared also ...
Late game it could be quite difficult to notice that
I often rename planets, so if I get a "normal" name in the colony queue I notice it
I typically find it by looking in my colonies list and finding a planet with population 5 (when the cap should be 3), and then checking to see whether auto-upgrade is turned on for the planet, since turning that off is always the first thing I do after colonizing or invading a planet. Of course it's been a while (before 3.00) since I built it.
If you go to your home planet screen, and use the left arrow, it will show the last planet you colonized. If you just got Brindle's, the last colonized planet will be that one. Note its name, and then locate it on the planet list to get the map to center on it.
Kind of a pain, but it does work.
Ok, today I could play and found the planet that I got through Brindle's. The problem was indeed that I didn't remember that the planet is already colonized. Thanks all for your comments
