Message for developers. Once there are several rolled-up fences on a desktop, it is almost impossible to get to the one you want without others un-rolling when the mouse passes over. Please add an option to disable the automatic unrolling, and provide instead, the option for, perhaps, a single mouse click on the visible title bar.
Another option could be an adjustable delay before the fence unrolls on mouseover.
Thank you.
** Will any other users who agree please add a comment **.
I have seen a previous request for this, but nothing seems to have happened.

I agree, this automatic unroll on mouseover is extremely annoying.
Stardock, is there any update or ETA on a fix for this?
Is there any way to customize (even through advanced settings or registry) the mouseover delay (eg. so mouse needs to be over at least 1 second so doesn't unroll everyone even when just quickly passing them by) ideally, or to disable this behavior entirely?
Mouse mouseover features with most software and sites, tooltips, etc. always have some kind of minimum delay to avoid just this kind of major problem, so that you don't unintentionally activate everything even when quickly just mousing past the entire screen in a fraction of a second.
and here we are at the end of 2021 with Fences 4 that unrolls with mouse-over even with the 'rollup fence' unchecked. Once I double-click, the fence re-check the 'rollup fence' option
+ 1 one on this complaint. I actually stopped rolling up any of my fences because this really bothers me a lot as well. It is a shame really because windows peek works better with the rolled fences.
Rolled fences should have one click to open. One click to close.
Only alternative I see is to leave them open as double click 'checks' the Rollup option. Is that what you do?
** IMPORTANT **
I am still putting up with the 'fences unrolling on mouse-over' problem. I cannot believe so few people have added to this post.
As a developer myself, I know the simplicity of making a change to the 'mouse-over' effect, assuming that the software has been developed with insight, and in a professional manner.
Although only a few have subscribed to this post, the problem may be that forum membership is proportionally low, and it must seem obvious to both management and developers that the problem described is detrimental to the continued take-up of the software by potential users. Having invested originally at a multi licence level, I am loathe to switch to alternative products.
I request this matter be reviewed at a high level, and the complaints satisfied.
It should be a "roll" or "noroll" option choice that can be enabled or disabled at will.
Merry Christmas
This would be very useful. It is very annoying when moving past fences to get to the one that is needed, or to the monitor above and or to the side. Sorry if this is old thread, but it is an old request, and it does say 'Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates' at the top.
.. and now! ... coming to a computer near you! ... four years in the making! .. 'The Moueshover Legacy'
Odd to see an easy fix go un-tended. One click open and one click to close. That is not time consuming and will stop the windows from un-rolling just by a mouse-over. Sometimes it is a dance to get to the window you want due to others opening and covering the one you want.

Click to open/close or a mouse hover delay setting. Both would options be very nice!
