I just completed Brindley's Observatory on a planet. I expected to find a new habitable planet near by. But there is no new colonizable planet. I also looked at the Planets tab on the main screen and didn't find any colonizable planets. Is Brindley's Observatory bugged or am I missing something? Does it take a few turns?
Thanks for your help!
IIRC, Brindle's doesn't give a colonizable planet, it gives a full-blown colony instead.
Look in the vicinity of the planet you built it on. You sure that you didn't get a new colony?
I think Croc411 is correct. And look in neighboring systems, as I recall it doesn't always appear in the same system where you built the Observatory.
You should have 1 extra colony. There should have been an extra idle colony before you can continue on that turn.
LOL, funny story, DST.
You know what's also funny? In my last game I built Brindle's Observatory and ... got nothing!
Not a colonizable world and not a new colony. I am 100% sure I got neither of those at least 50 hexes around the planet I built the observatory on.
So Brindle's indeed seems to be buggy. It did either nothing at all or created a colonizable world somewhere far away where I couldn't find it.
Ok this is not, so unbelieveable if you are taking into account that people are claming the existaence of another planet, or that we might of picked up a rogue planet.
Now this would validate the planet vulcan, or nibiru.
Ok lets say this is real. Now remember influence flipping happens all the time. Cant we just we influence flipped a not space faring species.
Now besides the above idea we still have convergent evolution.
Now besides the above 2 ideas we have a world wide flood. I can only thonk of Noah, and Atlantis, bthat could have colonised a planet. A planet we dont think exists. Even though, we would not being taking into account advanced technology. Or are we, both the aceans, drengins, and the paulos advanced slower than we did. Even historicly nations dont do well in isolation.
