I am on Gal. Civ 3 - Crusade. Debug Message: Version 2.8, Build #10693, last updated on: 03-17-2018 09:49
I am playing a ludicrous map size, gifted AI, and 54 opponents. All were downloaded from Steam. About six hours in to the game, it just crashes. Crash report submitted 8 different times during the span of two weeks. Uninstalled game, updated OK, graphics card, Steam, and everything else I could think of. I reinstalled the game and crashed again after 7 hours of play. Looking in error log I see the following messages repeatedly:
Debug Message: SoundSystem Error: MilesEvent: The command buffer was full. : (null)
and a number of:
Debug Message: ERROR: objectGfxID 1161 is not found in the lookup table
Debug Message: ERROR: objectGfxID 1173 is not found in the lookup table
Debug Message: ERROR: objectGfxID 1202 is not found in the lookup table
I like the longer games but do not know what to do to get past these crashes.
How do I identify and fix the error?
Peter
How much ram do you have.
16G
Well brad did recommend playing excessive for that amount of ram. According to my own experience you have to play with somewhere between 31 and 42 opponents with that little bit of ram.
Seems like there are missing files. Either you have an anti-virus that is blocking them or one of the custom civs is busted.
Did you subscribe to civs from Factions, these are for the base game, or Civilisations, these are for Crusade?
If you have a savegame which constantly crashes it would be appreciated if you upload it somewhere, like Dropbox, so I can pass it along to the devs.
Also it would be nice if you uploaded the debug.err file.

I have attached the log to the tickets I have submitted. How do I upload the whole log for you to forward?
Sincerely,
Support tickets are no longer used for reporting bugs/crashes, rather post directly on the forums.
Just upload the debug.err file to Dropbox or a similar service.
When did this happen? I have usually used support tickets to report bugs because they would always be in the support records. I always get a response from someone in support saying the information has been forwarded to the developers, so I assumed the devs would see it and do something.
Does this explain why some of the bugs that allow the AI to do things I can't do (aka Cheat) haven't been fixed many months, since August and December, after I reported them? They have existed since Crusade was released, but didn't exist before then. I have recently reported another that is slightly different. When the AI does it, it cripples the AI. I can't do it, so it doesn't hurt me, but it sure hurts the AI when the AI is synthetic. I think these need to be fixed before Intrigue is released.
Should I make a post with all the details I reported in the tickets?
As far as I know since December.
That would be preferable.

Do you have a save game that I could take a look at that reproduces the issue?
Hi,
Yes. Here is a link to a save, about 2 turns before the error occurs. I appreciate your help.

Thank you for the save game. I'll ask the team to take a look.
Finally ran into the crash myself using your save game. You appear to have hit the maximum number of graphic objects in the game! Working on a fix now.
Thank you for letting me know. Is this a game limitation, or a PC memory issue?
