Very good program, better than the one I was using...almost. I would like to be able to group different web browsers, and the possibility to add 'Notebook.exe' to Explorer.exe', so they automatically tabbed together. This may be present now, but as of yet...haven't found it. Don't think the 'grouping' should be limited to a particular program. I know I can drag the programs together...but I would like to create a group, not based on an EXE file (unless they can be grouped together).
Having a number of Stardocks utilities running on my computer..I would love to add this one as well...
Seems saving (and handling, opening, closing) tab groups of different programs is one of the most requested features so far and Stardock states they are considering it, but need to figure out the best way to implement that.
What have you been using so far?
We are indeed looking into exactly how people use the product and how they would like such grouping to happen.
Please do let us know.
When there is an active group add an option to the three dot menu to save the group. Like with tabs of the same app like explorer.exe now when these apps are opened they go into that group automatically. That would be consistent. Then add closing groups with one click. If there was a tray icon for Groupy it could give access to saved groups in order to manage and open them with one click.
Luxury: A saved group could also be assigned an icon that can be pinned to the taskbar. While the taskbar icon itself would open the group, the popup window could offer the single apps to be opened individually. That way the function of a "stack" would be included in an intuitive way, also reducing clutter on the taskbar.
This is the exact feature I'm looking for. I have to start up 5 applications every morning and group them together in the same way every day. With a "Save a Group with Desktop ICON" and a start all applications feature, that would save me a lot of time every day. We need this feature badly. I do this for 2 Groupy Groups daily.
I just got notified that a new version of Groupy is due out soon . Which will address a lot of things including excel.
