I really don't understand that. A game like Stellaris have a real hipe while you get much less content for more money?! In fact there you only have to build a big fleet asap, attack finish, that's it. But everyone love it.
Endless space 2,still full release but in fact still in beta version. Everyone love it?!
GalCiv III great game, deep with much content, new engine great Dev support etc... So many bad reviews!
Some idea why? Is it to complex for the most? To difficulty? The learning curve to heavy?
I really don't understand it and that's really sad. Otherwise is there the fear the devs will stop the development of the game... That would be much more than sad!!!
Thank you
Saving is fast. Creating the universe takes longer. Still way less than 6 days.
Considering I leave the game running for days on end sometimes for the right map size I wouldn't mind creation taking up to an hour on my rig. When playing Free Orion I always go for a minimum of 1,000 star galaxies and on occasion push 1600 when a new release comes out. The more room there is to expand and the more time between contacts with other empires the better. Even if it does mean I can't get rich trading techs.
All in all I have been happy with the Gal Civ franchise even if it doesn't have the best of gameplay. For that I still consider Master of Orion 3 to be the closest to what I would like even with all of its flaws and festering boils... Now if only Stardock would take the best of GC3 and MoO3 we might end up with the ultimate 4X game.
I agree with frogboy the ludicrous map takes a few minutes to form on common resources abundant everything else 99 opponents. It takes a minute to load, but really quick saves. If this bothered me i would play a smaller map. I enjoy this setting. I would not want it to not be there. Loved galactic civilizations 2 just wished it had bigger maps. You play the size your computer can handle. Some of it people want different kind of game.
To answer the op i noticed we all dont want the same stuff. Things arent getting fixed on an imediate time frame. Disagreements on whats priority. When you fix a bug that creates other bugs. People are expecting instanteous results instead of understanding it takes time.
Priority should be
1. Core bugs
2. Data bugs
3. Data and feature tweaks
I think I’ve found out what the issue is. Avast is interfering with it and blocking files. I reinstalled the game with avast switched off and it was working fine until avast blocked something again.
I love Avast but sometimes...
