I have a laptop in a docking station connected to 2 other monitors. So I have 3 monitors that I use as extended, (one big monitor). I have my fences set up so each screen has certain fences. When I remove the laptop from the dock, all the fences go to the one laptop screen, which was expected. But when I reconnect to the dock the fences go back to different screens, but not necessarily the correct screen. For example the laptop now shows screen 3's fences and screen 3 shows laptop fences. Sometimes I can fix by doing a snapshot restore, but that doesn't always work. This also sometimes happens at a power up without the laptop removal, but less common.
If you go into Display Properties do the three screens show and are they consistently identified correctly?
Hello !I have the same issue , with 3 monitors but the same problem occurs when windows sleeps. It doesn't always happen but when it does it gets confused as to which monitor is which.I've verified the Display Properties and the the have not changed...I've had this problem for two different pc's both with 3 monitors..I have to reboot to get the icons back into the correct screens. As above a simple restore will not fix the problem

Yes, and the snapshot shows the layout correctly but when applied it seems to randomly choose which screen it sees as 1, 2 or 3.
I have the same problem: fences do not work correctly if you have an external monitor with different resolution as the notebook display and you are sometimes connected via the docking station to the external screen and at other moments only work on the notebook.
Is there already a solution?
Can confirm on a triple monitor setup this is a problem. I have dealt with with it regularly for years now.
