How to make the ships icon, as in Unit_Hud_CursorOver, Unit_Hud_Disabled ...
I already have a ready Unit_Picture file with my ship, and I need to make the Unit_Hud icon as in the original, that is, with the yellow background, that is, how it should be!
Here's something like this to do:

Take an empty yellow icon button.
Take a profile picture of your ship. Sins has a green screen option if you don't have any other way.
Copy and resize your profile picture of the ship onto the yellow icon.
For cursor over I just set to the brightness/contrast up 30%
For cursor down it's just moving the file down one pixel.
For disabled I just desaturate the image to convert it to grayscale.
I do this all in Gimp though there are likely other options.
