I'm using Start 10 1.11 with the windows 10 Anniversary Update installed everything works I have Control Panel set to expand as a menu I noticed there is a blank white icon at the top above administrative tools I noticed it when I installed the anniversary update so I was wondering if it could be a bug with version 1.11 and the windows 10 Anniversary Update
It looks like a bug. I've notified the dev team.
Thanks!
Me too...
Hi. It's not a Start10 issue - there's a control panel item that occupies a position despite not being applicable to most/all of us.
To get rid of it you have to edit the registry, take ownership of the item, and then delete it.
The item is HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\{98F2AB62-0E29-4E4C-8EE7-B542E66740B1}
..which translates into a theoretical Control Panel item called "Company Settings Sync" - whatever that is.
Remove that reg entry and the blank control panel icon is gone!
