Hi, sometimes fleets will be off the center of a space. I am not sure if it does this with only one ship in a space though. Also, if I remember correctly, sometimes if I right click on the space the fleet will instantly switch over to the center of the tile. The game is on a small map with only the AI and I (there used to be another AI that I set to start allied with the other AI, and there are still some starbases left over from him). Also, I have the graphics settings set to full except for antialiasing which is set to x2, and I have vsync and fullscreen off.
My PC's possibly relevant specs are the following:
Windows 10 Home
Intel i5-3570k
EVGA Geforce GTX 670 FTW
Corsair 8GB 1600MHz Ram
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
1920x1080 monitor
I'm seeing this too, in 1.8. Formed my first fleet and it jumped off center of the tile. When I selected it and moved it to another tile it went back to the center of the tile moved to.
The grand old Duke of York, he had 10 thousand men, he marched them up to the top of the hill and he marched them down again, when they were up, they were up, when they were down they were down, BUT WHEN THEY WERE ONLY HALF WAY UP THEY WERE NEITHER UP OR DOWN
I am seeing this as well. My current game is using the Galactic Star Trek Mod. Not sure if there is anything in there to cause it.
It happens to me every time I add a ship to a fleet.
After the Turn it goes back to norm.
No
I was introduced with 1.8
I have been seeing this lately. Sometimes it can be hard to target a fleet. In one case, I was never able to target a fleet despite clicking several times around it. It thus became a Zombie, in a way.
Do we need to submit a ticket showing this?
Hard to target? No, its just a visual thing, the game thinks it is in the square it is 'supposed' to be in, so just click on that square even though it looks empty.
Yes, I understand, but it can take a while to click just the right hex, and as I said, in at least one case I clicked all the surrounding hexes and failed.
Could be a random bug then.... but not one i have ever seen happen.
Fixed!
I have my Galciv3 on Steam.... last night an automatic update came through, i then continued my current game, then i saw the fleet off centre problem is fixed!!!
Good work Stardock!
That is great news!
EDIT:
I have confirmed that it is now working properly.
Like @Mystikmind, I continued my current game last night and indeed, the problem is fixed.
