Used to use fences back in the windows xp days. Now I installed onto my windows 10 machine.... First thing I noticed is the Recycle bin is stuck outside a fence, Also When I click configure fences nothing happens so the program is utterly useless to me. Great first impressions from someone who was going to pay for the new version. No money for you Stardock
Are you using the Windows 10 insider preview?
I know that first impressions are often important, but in this case you may have gotten a false one if you're running an "Insider" build. Some software does not work properly on these builds, hence above the question from Stardock's lead software guy.
I have Fences 3 running on my HP 2-in-1 with Win 10 Home Edition standard and have no issues whatsoever. It may be that you got a bad download [as can happen sometimes] or it's an 'Insider' build, so don't give up on Fences just yet.
Would you please state which build of Windows 10 you are using and which version of Fences you tried to install?
Forgive me for hijacking this slightly old thread but I just have to report that I have installed 3.0.1 on windows 10 pro, and it behaves exactly as expected, has given me no problems, and I can drop the recycle bin in a fence with no hassles.
Thats all. Just wanted to give some positive feedback.
