Also glad to hear the ai hugging is being addressed. When I last tried the game some months ago it was something that put me off.
Something else I've been wondering about is whether anything will be done soon to lessen the extreme ship ranges that are possible. I don't remember GC2 having the same problem with this and it would be great if GC3 would just follow that model.
AI hugging is fixed in 1.6.

AI Hugging... so, when the AI factions that like me have tons of ships in my ZOC, they are actually trying to guard my stuff? I had always thought they were just trying to project power because they didn't trust me (or the AI equivalent of that) or something, and were positioning for rapid response in case I declared on them. They *do* tend to hover around my deepspace starbases, particularly if I am using one to gather up troop transports.
Oh my... if I've been misreading this activity, I've made some serious, ahem, diplomatic errors. Maybe I should send the AI some flowers or something.
Are we going to be getting patch notes?

wait.. i think im out of the loop.. people have 1.6 access? I can see the "Mercenaries Expansion pack" in my DLC list, but my games still saying 1.5 and i dont have any options in the opt in drop down list?
