I just recently learned that a planet can be irreversibly ruined and never regain it's class. Very Sad. Why can't sectors that is destroyed be allowed to restore by spending planet's production to restore the lost sectors? This makes me sad. I don't like planetary invasions anymore. And this makes Information warfare the superior and only one to pick if you want to preserve planet's class. Bleh bleh bleh. Needs to be fixed. Look at Stalingrad. It was utterly leveled, but its restored and all good today. This doesn't make sense in the game for a planet to be forever ruined.
And another thing that I rejoiced then despaired.
After that discovery when I took back the Alternative II planet from Drengin Empire..it lost several sectors in conventional warfare and I only can get one of the lost sectors back through Terraforming D=. It used to be class 12 or 14 I think.
And I noticed a second Drengin Empire fleet charging towards Teela II which was a growign Manufactory world so I got my Reverie Battleship of doom on its maiden voyage across the map. 4 Turns to build it. 3 Turns to reach the frontlines on Gigantic Map. After swatting a cruiser in it's way, it went on to challenge this invading fleet to a battle.
That looked like reasonable odds to me and ..
I was pumping fists and going Yes! I'm happy to evade having planet Teela II's class being destroyed. This is the rejoicing moment.
Here's the glorious victory screen.
And I wondered how quickly my doom battleship would repair. So I had it retreat to the shipdock world on the frontlines and docked it. And found out that it would only repair for 7 hp per strategy map turn. I went wait.. That cannot be. So I decided to subtract the current hp it had then did a 226 divided by 7 equals 32 turns to fully recover all the lost hp translated this into a moment of despair and realize it was a costly victory anyways.
But here is things don't make sense anymore.
32 Turns to repair in same shipdock.
or
4 Turns to construct a brand new battleship of doom from my core worlds and 3 turns of travel to reach the same shipdock it'll take 32 turns to repair in.
Why is repairing very horrible? Are there any way to accelerate it even more, I don't' want to do the whole schtick of decommissioning the battleship then building new one immediately because it feels very gamey and cheating. >< Please help me out.
So, the infromation warfare part. Why not use biological warfare. Ive never seen it not be 100% effective and it does 0%dmg to the planet itself.
I'm still learning how the game works. There's still very much I don't know. In fact, Galciv3 is the first game in Galciv series that I spent more than 3 hours playing I have only tried information warfare but haven't tried biological warfare yet.
Oh, same! this is my introduction to the series and I love it so much I have around 150 hours put into it since release @@ my most played steam game by far lol.
anyways, there werre wars where conventional warfare did 0%, and the other two were at like 2%. Biological warfare always did 100% for me so I just stipped using the other types.
