Today, I got an email from Google stating "Someone used Firefox to sign into you Google account".
Oh, no, maybe I should only use Chrome to sign in [rolling eyes smiley]
...Oh, Yea, it was me, and I did it less than an hour ago...
As if Google didn't know that Firefox was being used to sign in to the account from the same computer I use all the time.
They now send those out for signing in from just about anywhere, including google supplied apps. Think the biggest difference is, sometimes after Firefox updates, Google ends up sending another notice.
They also send the same emails, regardless of what browser you're using, you'd get the same if you were using chrome.
This is a safety measure for you, Borg999.
Better to receive an email than have someone NOT you signing in and you NOT knowing about it.
Think about it.
You see safety measure, I see subtle marketing ploy.
Considering most people have multiple devices, it's not so unusual...
You're just sore about my conflict comment in your thread from a few days ago.
Here's a flash for you Borg999, it does the same thing if you sign in using Chrome on a different system too.
So, it isn't a marketing ploy at all. It's a good safety measure.
By the way... Apple does the same thing if you sign in to icloud from anything at all.
I guess resistance to tin-foil hats is futile..
Here's a flash for you Phoon,
When someone uses smilies in a post, it usually means not to take the comment seriously...
Now, stand up and slowly pull it out before it gets stuck in there permanently.
Odd, I see no smiley in the post.
Google must have been paranoid that the Borg were trying to assimilate them in to Firefox and saw no humor in it..
I am Dyslexic of Borg. Your Ass is malted...
In your OP, you referenced my marketing ploy comment (reply #4) which means you were commenting on my second post...which contained smilies...
smiles are an evil plot by the Borg to infiltrate gaming boards... resistance is funny
Them Borg gettin' bold. Gaming boards now......what's next.......
windows 10?
Did you know that applying a smiley while the wind changes could actually see your face get stuck like that forever?
Yup, be careful of what smiley you wish for.. Just sayin'
